I got to admit I was thoroughly disappointed when I saw the stats for the scholar esoterics weapon. Not a single bit of crit, and instead a stack of pie and spell speed. And instead the Whm get the crit. WhySame boat but I am already 90% sure that I'll buy the SCH weapon for savage. At the earliest we will see any more AST changes with 3.1 which is still months off and even if we get any announced changes I doubt they'll be concrete enough for me to go "Oh that sounds great let me invest all my eso into AST". I know I know you said no negative nancies but that is my current line of thought.?
I know it just sucks. I don't really feel that comfortable giving up the I think 80 crit on my hive weapon for spell speed.
I bought AF2 chest. I'm not aiming beat end game contents yet and no regreting so far.
Everyone realizes spell speed effects HoT now right? Not saying good or bad but it's a thing.
Yeah, if you are playing in Diurnal Stance often you want the Spell Speed for those HoTs. I'd even argue SS is the de-facto preferred secondary stat for WHM aside from PIE/DET.
A good thing about AST is the flexibility it has with armor stats pieces depending on the default stance you are playing in your raid for-example. Just like those who like min/max parts and play both WHM/SCH.
I'm getting it ^.^
I have been on my WHM since the beginning of the game, and I absolutely love it! But, when I tried AST for the first time, I was almost equally in love with it. Now these two are the classes which I'm fighting for to make one of them my main healer. With AST having it's problems, I think I'm leaning towards my WHM. But in reality, I also really like experimenting and playing with the card system which is mediocre at best I have to admit... but it's fun as well. I think I'm sticking to my WHM mainly cause I tend to favor higher heals and astro still needs a bit of fixing especially nocturnal stance which is basically useless now...
Glad your definition and my definition of fixed are different. Astrologian healing wise is fixed.
