Yeah, if you are playing in Diurnal Stance often you want the Spell Speed for those HoTs. I'd even argue SS is the de-facto preferred secondary stat for WHM aside from PIE/DET.

A good thing about AST is the flexibility it has with armor stats pieces depending on the default stance you are playing in your raid for-example. Just like those who like min/max parts and play both WHM/SCH.

So does crit as well. Guess it's a preference-thingy... personally I think that SS is one of the worst secondaries for most classes..
