It's just minimizing losses.
This is usually the case with flames acting as that force on primal. They always seem to fixate on a GC for the entire fight once they pick one, regardless of if it'll get them 2nd or 3rd. Otherwise, when we're far behind in points, it's usually unsalvageable so we'd just go after flames.
