That is not entirely correct. Everything requires developement time and thus money. The time devs would take to implement proper size scaling could be used to implement new cute bikinis or new twintails cute hairstyles for my waifu.

The time they spend creating new quests and dungeons and raids could also be used to make more cutesy stuff for your waifu. In fact, everything they create in the game that isn't cute stuff for your waifu takes away from their time creating more cute stuff for your waifu.

And because the minority will always have less choice there is no point in working to expand that choice at all, amirite?

I fail to see the comparison. I can experience dungeons and raids with my waifus so of course i want that to happen. On the other hand, I do not care at all about more badass and manly looking females because I will never play as one and I do not particularly enjoy looking at them either. There is a clear difference between these two things.

Also I did not say there is no point in expanding choices. I just said that it is unlikely to be financially smart because demand for it is low. Take it as you will.

To be fair, lore exists only to justify marketing decisions. Lore can also explain why miqo'te exist, but the true reason?

OP doesn't want just tall girls, she wants women as tall or taller than the males of that race. I can't see (or want to see) SE rework the current races to give such an option. Closest we have is Lalafells, and Hyurs where Fhighlanders are the same height as midlanderM.

If Elezens and Roes taught SE anything, its that the majority of players of both genders don't really like playing big females. We see more female highlanders because there are players that want to play females humans with "western" aesthetics.

I don't think SE would create a race where most men don't want to play them because they're squirts, and most females don't want to play them either because they're bulky.

I would like to have my Au Ra be as tall as female Highlander, but I don't mind so much.

If you want to play a tall character, the tall races have very beautiful women. I love female highlander, I love the look of female roegadyn and elezen girls are so beautiful too.

That is how the world works, unfortunately. The majority wins, and the majority decides with money basing their choice on what THEY individually prefer.

Violence is the only way a minority can try to stand a chance, but that is considered unethical and rude, usually.

I think an easy enough option would be give a bigger height range to all races. I would love my miqo'te to be a bit taller but I see many very small catboys cause our height can go really low. It will give more probability to find higher females too.

In the au ra case though the height difference between males and females is a peculiarity of their race, like having scales, horns or a tail so I wouldn't change it to a point you can make a male and female au ra of he same height.

Most people seem to miss when I orientated a specific "of that race" when talking about it in my first post, so let me reiterate. I don't want Lala sized Roes or vise versa, just the ability for a Miqo'te boy to be as short as a Miqo'te girl and vise versa with each race, there's really no reason to not allow this that isn't entirely arbitrary.

Yes there are tall options in the races, but it still doesn't solve the issue of "why can't my midlander women be just as tall as a Midlander guy?", I don't want to just be a /tall race/ I'd like for it to be an option to be a tall Miqo'te girl (Keep in mind, being 5'3 makes me taller than lots of Miqo'te sure in game, but not Miqo'te men, which are taller than me 9/10 times).. Or the opposite with a short Miqo'te guy (so hey! More "cute" options there if you want your cute options)

Note, nothing in my post recommends overall removal of options (or at least nothing over like a quater of an inch between each height tick), and would give players more options for unique looks. You can argue about "minorities will always have less options" but this doesn't remove the overall ability to have short women (ie what "most" people want), just sate a minority group's wants. Let's be a little empathic people, the over all issue of allowing the option for it doesn't upset the majority, so why not?

I get that the au ra have the weird grossly different body mass deal as a unique race deal, but in the same breath SE allows for a million Miqo'te men to exist. You're telling me it's somehow impossible for there to be one small minority group of Au Ra that managed to find out the secrets of having tall women or short men?
