FC housing is not the same as personal housing. If it were, SE would have told everyone to join a FC and stop asking for personal housing. Between gardening, creative freedom of said house, being able to use the house for RP if that's your thing, or simply having one to store all the items retainers steal from other houses, having a personal house is vastly different from being a part of a FC that has a house. In the first FC I ran, I set it up to where everyone could decorate and add furniture and stuff. This ended with my raging vortex couch and Ifrit trophy being destroyed because they were "annoying" other people. So you can't just give housing permissions to anyone and say "here, now stop whining about the lack of housing", because there's no guarantee they won't throw away all your company's belongings.

And its not like every FC has their own house..and like others said you only need a big argument in a FC and you will loose everything, especially if you bought a FC room..maybe decorated it with unmovable furniture that you will loose too. In the end its a shame that we pay exactly the same as a FC but we can´t use everything. It would be nice if we at least could also buy more rooms for 300k.

The only solution for this problem would be to have personal instanced houses that everyone can get and that you can improve over time to have bigger houses and leave the wards to FC`s. With that people can still have their neighborhoods but at least everyone has a chance to experience housing.

While I totally see and agree with all your points, to those of us that do not have a house, we feel like SE doesn't even care to implement more, or fix their servers. It's depressing reading every live letter with questions of when more districts will be added. It's always, "There are limitations, but please look forward to it" "We feel there is an adequate amount of housing and don't feel the need to implement anymore at this time." and then they don't bring it up again for 6 months and it's the same "There are limitations, but please look forward to it". When 0.1% of the server is even able to buy a house, it just screams that the developers had no idea what they were doing when they built the housing system. Who in their right mind thinks only a thousand or so plots is enough to satisfy the demand on a server that holds tens of thousands of players at any given point?

"Join an FC" would be a legitimate argument if every FC was capable of getting a plot, but there's not enough even for FCs, let alone personal. People should be able to make an FC and grow it with their friends without wondering if they're going to be able to access FC housing for gardening/chocobo raising/airships.

Maybe people would rather play with people they like to hang out with instead of a bunch of strangers. I'm starting to have some of my friends join the game from WoW, where we ran a guild together, but if we made an FC together we wouldn't be able to get a plot with anything resembling speed.

And I'm starting to feel uncomfortable in my FC, but I feel like if I leave, I'll lose all the time and gil I invested in my personal room (and I haven't spent NEARLY as much time as others). What if I find an FC where I really like the people, but they don't have a plot? I'm stuck missing out on those features. If I'm lucky, I'll find one with both, but those big FCs are usually not a lot of fun.

You cannot decorate the FC house. A tiny room =/= a house. AND you will lose that room and lots of things in it if you at any point need to leave the FC/the FC falls apart.

Your response to the second question is nonsensical. FC troubles directly impact housing for an FC's members.

As for number three, the fact that there are actually things inaccessible is the entire point. You claim you can do everything "and more" by just being part of an FC with a house... I pointed out how utterly false that claim is.

1 - A room is not a house.
2 - Yes, when you own and control your own house instead of living in one someone else controls.
3 - You're forgetting chocobo dying, and no matter how much you try to brush it off gardening is still a mechanic locked behind housing.
