    Stupid people make me laugh....
    Ignorant people make me sad.....
Stupid Ignorant people make me mad.....
It's not that hard to see...
EX. A city of 17000 people got tsunami'd and over 10,000 people cannot be found... this is just from 1 City added to that 2 reactor cores being blown up, US troop who went to Japan w/ rescue mission was bombarded (I heard from Korean News) radiation.

Japan not only has to deal with Tsunami that hit them couple days ago, they are embracing for aftershocks, rescue missions, and saving lives. Just because Tokyo wasn't directly hit by tsunami doesn't mean they have resources to spare.

Stop being stupid, stop being ignorant. Think little bit before you post something.

Personally, I think you are a troll. Money does no good if there is nothing to spend it on to help. You can't drape it on people to keep them from freezing. And there are a good deal of people across the world already donating money anyway. People actually in Japan can definitely find, and are doing, far more sacrificing things to help besides throwing out money. For all you know, the entire staff could be helping and donating what services they can.

On top of that, you have no idea what SE's finances are, or how this might affect them in other ways besides just shutting down their servers. You don't even know who makes the financial descisions. You don't know what projects they are working on, or if they can even realistically afford to donate money. It's just as important that SE employees, which I'm sure are many in number, have a job to go back to.

As per my understanding we are playing a fee free game for now... and it is under a development stage, add to that the big disaster that is threatening the existence of many parts of japan. I think in these situations it is shame for us to argue the suspension.

Pretty much the same things written in every other similar topics. People, just stop to be butt-hurted for an online game while an entire continent is in severe crisis.

5 Nuclear plants are offline in the northern region which each have 5 reactors which accounts for about 25-40% of all Japans power origination. This was said on Day 1 of the crisis on MSNBC and CNN

Tokyo Electric Power Company is instituting rolling black outs to allow full time coverage for emergency areas so unless the facility SE's servers are in have full time generator support they would be losing power a lot.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

Exactly, so instead of this pointless spiteful post you made Jackson you would just make another complaining about how the servers keep going down.

Things like this sort of make me hope that the servers are off for months and months.

Maybe it'll help some of these people get a little perspective in life...

I am glad that companies are chipping in and I hope everyone around the world will do what they can to help.

It is so easy to take advantage of people in times like this. Just jump on the band wagon. Someone says save energy so people start turning off power that won't even help. Why not take a step back, ask what the problem really is, what can we do to make the most impact?

We will save more lives and get Japan back on track faster by asking these questions rather than letting companies do what they need to in order to save face or do what the other guys are doing because if they don't they will be seen as the "evil corporation".
Here is why you cannot cross 50 and 60hz systems

The utility frequency, (power) line frequency (American English) or mains frequency (British English) is the frequency at which alternating current (AC) is transmitted from a power plant to the end-user. In most parts of the world this is 50 Hz, although in the Americas it is typically 60 Hz. Current usage by country or region is given in the list of mains power around the world.

During the development of commercial electric power systems in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, many different frequencies (and voltages) had been used. Large investment in equipment at one frequency made standardization a slow process. However, as of the turn of the 21st century, places that now use the 50 Hz frequency tend to use 220-240 V, and those that now use 60 Hz tend to use 100-120 V. Both frequencies co-exist today (some countries such as Japan use both) with no technical reason to prefer one over the other and no apparent desire for complete worldwide standardization.

Unless specified by the manufacturer to operate on both 50 and 60 Hz, appliances may not operate efficiently or even safely if used on anything other than the intended frequency.
And on another note you really should stop questioning things like this, you have 5 posts and already people are calling you a troll, so think about that before you post again or comment.
