    "THIS GOD" was a shelf tank in favor of WAR in 1.0 and was never used despite all those "cool things" you were talking about. If anything, SE fixed PLD in 2.0 and made it the tank of choice instead of the shelf-tank.

    Yes but mostly cause Wars in 2.0 were absolutely terrible. Note that after 2.1 wars were generally considered better in most content, but theres was no reason to not have both because of rage of halone, the fact all busters were until very late coils all physical, and hallowed could be use to cheese mechanics.

    The new meta supports none of these ideas or at least not very well.


    I'm fine with paladins having low damage if

    1) Their enmity was adjusted significantly, especially in sword oath.
    2) Their utility was stronger and not as anal. Divine Veil not needing a proc/effecting them. A GCD Heal. Sheltron on magic.
    3) Their traits for Awarness and Covalescence being frankly, stronger (given these are shared powers).
    ---Cova: Reduce recast to 60 seconds, remove the extra 10%
    ---Awarness: Reduce recast to 60 seconds, remove extra duration. Attacks that would have landed as critical strikes instead are reflected at 300 potency.
    ---Tempered Will: Effects the Paladin and all allies within 10 yalms.
    ---Cover: Changed. The Paladin is surrounded in a field of protective energies, reducing physical damage taken by all nearby party members by 20%. If a party member is selected, Cover will instead only effect them but increase the value to 50%

    Beyond that...Goring Blade should be a stand alone power
    Royal Authority should chain off Riot Blade
    A new combo finisher should be placed where Royal Authority used to be: 'Save the Queen'--Strikes for 240 potency and applies a damage shield on the Paladin for 400 potency for 6 seconds. The potency of the shield is not penalized by shield oath.

    That get me to pick up my paladin again at least ^_^

    That would just be way too over powered 300 potency? That's like a rage of halone +60 potency, not to mention Drks and Wars get no benefit of this. Again cover WAY to over powered it'd make some fights a joke where having 2 plds would have perma covered. Enmity is fine my pld friend with hive weapon holds threat and does okay dps just fine. Paladins already have enough utility making them into a god class makes this new expac even more imbalanced, SE just needs to make minor tweaks to classes and that's it. No tanks are trash everything has been cleared this patch (minus AS4 and maybe 3 haven't been checking) with all 3 tanks just gotta choose how you run your static optimally.

    300 potency only when an attack would have critted you. That is not every attack--its less than what vengeance does over its duration (50 on every attack. Critical strikes from monsters are less than 5%). And of course Darks and War should get no benefit from this--the above are all suggestion for Paladin Traits. Paladins pay a heavy cost for these extra 'cooldowns' that both war and dark cross class into. What do paladins take from other classes?

    Blood Bath.....Mercy Stroke? Foresight? Hah...

    Cover is absolutely useless in the vast majority of content, then broken/op in about 3 fights in the entire game. I would much rather this Paladin Only power actually be far more useful in -all fights-.

    No paladin I know of has cleared AS3 savage--in fact both guilds that did it had their paladins swap to dark knights to complete the content. They could not make the dps checks otherwise.

    I think you misunderstand. I'm saying the proposed --TRAIT-- (damage reflect) isnt going to be useable by Dark or War (which is normal, no one gets to use another classes traits). I did not think I wrote that in such a way as to cause confusion.
