Who here is also burned out from farming?

The content wasn't designed to be "farmed' you have a daily expert roulette that you need and that's it... explain to me how that's farming, you would have all the time to do anything else once you've done the daily roulette. If anything there is less grinding than before, if you want to talk about grinding talk to the crafters about scrips.

Tbh I'm kinda burned myself. Normally with an expansion I would be busy levelling up alts to pass the time buy even this has become a chore. I got my Drg to 60 but I didnt feel a chore with all the quests but when Ievelled my Ast past 50 It became real boring to the point I was only levelling it with daily roulettes only. Its sitting at 58 the last 2 weeks cos I just cant even work up the effort to do that.

New 51+ dungeons are far too boring and repetitive the mobs are damage sponges with paltry exp. Rather have waves of mobs that are easy to kill but their numbers make em a threat. The start of the vault kinda does this but mobs are slow to kill and crappy exp. Fates also feel boring the whole 2 mobs can kill you is a bad idea for low exp. Different if they gave a good deal of exp but they dont and ARR was far better regardess of the whingers who said those mobs were too easy.

As for the endgame the esoterics are just utterly lazy in their implimentation. Their costs are too high for use on a single job compared to their predecessors poetics that could be used on 2/3 jobs and as such I can barely be bothered to even do the single expert roulette once a day right now. Cant even be bothered with alex normal even.

As it stands I'm playing FF11 and am quite enjoying it. Everything you do leads to something different. You dont feel like your grinding but progressing. As it stands 3.0 feels like a longer and boring/grindier copypaste of the grind of 2.0. Could've definately been done ALOT better.

I'm not saying the expansions utter fail. The story is good but the game mechanics are crap. 51+ Dungeons are boring to grind and not giving worthwhile returns on exp and even Fates feel slow. Until things change to be less repetitive or feel more like progression than grind I can barely be interested in playing this over FF11.

As others have mentioned, there's one surefire solution to burn-out: Don't burn yourself out.

If any activity makes you feel like you're burning yourself out, stop doing that activity. It's as easy as that.

"But I gotta get muh tomes!" No. No you don't. No one is forcing you to cap your tomes each week. You are under no obligation to collect all the gear as fast as it's possible to collect it. And if someone IS pressuring you do to this other than yourself - punch them in the face, or something. If you're the one pressuring yourself, punch yourself in the face - maybe it'll slap some sense into you!

Play the game at your own pace. Or, if that doesn't work, play another game entirely. That won't make SE happy, since they want you spending as much time in-game as possible, but who cares about them?

As a filthy casual, I've got no problem with the eso grind at all. I just wish that there were more than two dungeons available for Ex Roulette. Getting SO gorram tired of Fractal and Neverreap.

One of these days I'll get around to actually doing Alex...

OK I'm really objective now I know I can complain alot but this time its just focusing on the following.

Only 2 Ex Roulette dungeons that you do over and over and over again due to how fast you hit 60.

LOL in 2.0 there was only Wanderers palace and Amdapor Keep, no penalty from leaving dungeons so fresh 50's would get completely abandoned and the way the dungeons were completed was the tank would aggro every mob to the boss room die and get raised as there was no party aggro. There was no roulette bonuses and the weekly cap was 300, no EX primals (ifrit,garuda,titan hard) no tokens, no alexander normal and just Coil turn 1 hard with the old complete once a week lockout.

WP and AK dropped 55 and 60 gear, first tome gear was 70 and the weekly capped stuff was 90 all coil gear was 90 even the final T5 weapon was at 90.

It is FAR FAR better than what was originally released so to say Yoshi "doesn't listen" is nonsense.

I'm more burned out from the lack of endgame grind for non-raiders. Esoterics cap out easily with a roulette a day. Alexander gear is nice, but since it will eventually be replaced by Esoteric gear and I don't plan on raiding soon without a team, the gear is fairly useless for gearing my main, it will only make daily roulettes slightly easier in the meantime. I'd rather have a higher Eso cap, higher Eso prices, and more ways to obtain Esoterics, but this is unfriendly to players with less time than I. There's no glamours for me to grind, I'm waiting on a relic to grind and seasonal events, there's just very little to do at level 60. Unless I decide to chip away at leveling PLD, I do my daily roulette, log off and play a different game. Not how I thought I'd be spending my time having just purchased an expansion. Sure, there's more to come, but I shouldn't feel like I have to invent busy work to keep myself occupied in the meantime.
