Defiance healing bonus doesn't work on healing abilities like lustrate, essential dignity, etc.
Also doesn't work with convalescence, which is arguably most important for the WAR as they need it to make ToB more than just an increase in eHP.
Lustrate is a now 600 potency heal, and essential dignity is a 400 potency heal. There are no "X% of target HP" heals except Benediction now, which means these abilities work with Defiance and Convalescence now.

As a career healer, this is absolutely incorrect. Lustrate and ED (which is 400-1000 depending on tank HP) are both Abilities whereas conva and defiance only work on Spells (i.e. stuff that hits the GCD). This means that Lustrate, ED, Tetra, Assize, etc are completely unaffected by Convalescence/Defiance.
e: Another neat side effect of this is that the 20% healing magic malus from Cleric Stance doesn't apply to such abilities /but/ you still take a huge hit from the int-mind swap.

Have you tested it? I was under the impression they actually don't due to the fact that they're healing "abilities" instead of healing "spells".

I seriously doubt this was by design, but Yoshi in one of the live letters says they're going to leave it as is for now.

No, they don't. With the 25% of max HP thing they were equal to paladins when taking a lustrate. Lustrate is now an ability with potency. Ability, not spell.
Abilities are not affected by the defiance or convalescence bonus, meaning warriors get none of the defiance benefit from them. Paladins and dark knights still have their flat 20% mitigation while Warrior has only the enhanced HP which equates to half of their tank stance. That tank stance is already less effective than shield oath and grit without negating the 20% healing buff.
So lustrate is worse on a Warrior now.
..So basically if you're in Defiance, you're using convalescence for nothing?!
