    Yeah that Ascian bit is showing vulnerability in both takes. He's in denial in one, and is whimpering in the other is all.

    I think the difference between the two is notable. You may think that a showing of "smallness" is unnecessary (in the JP voiced dialogue), because you may think the vulnerability is the only thing that's important, but I would have to disagree. I think the message is overall quite different. In any case, this was only the latest example that came quickest to mind, it has occurred frequently leading up to that point as well.
