It wasn't a forum or anything, it was a "Feedback & Suggestions" form you could fill out on the SE site. This was before the Lodestone was around, really. In fact that form might still even be on the site. Lots of people filled out these forms I'm sure.

Lots of great suggestions for achieving fullscreen windowed mode. It's a shame we are left to our own devices on this.

Wouldn't it be nice if Square Enix began releasing UAC-compliant, Unicode-compliant international DirectX Windows software titles? Maybe that's just the lunatic in me speaking...................

    *Edit*

Dang. I forgot to mention that I posted this on Eorzeapedia in a thread about "What would you like to see in FFXIV?" back when the title for FFXIV had been confirmed (formerly "Rapture"). And I asked about alt-tabbing, Windows Key, Ctrl-Alt-Del, user account dialogs, unicode input, etc etc etc.

I might've been silly for thinking that not only would something have been LEARNED from FFXI, but that they'd push forward with INNOVATIONS, instead of regressions.

If you don't think new summoner is better, you're playing the wrong game.

You wish is my command. Here you go.

Source Code: http://min.us/mLS6CRkNJ (For those that don't trust me.)
    Exe: http://min.us/mqWFjPGTr
    Exe for .net 3.5: http://min.us/mGSWC4lpy

This is a speed programming at its finest, which took me like 30 minutes to program, so pardon any mistakes I made and improper programming.

You need .net to run, but that should be installed already since most of you are using windows. I do not know if this works with XP or vista, but you can try. It should work as long as you have .net installed. Please do pester me about bug and stuff, I got a job, so this is really a side project. Plus if someone want to add, feel free to. Just keep me in the loop. Also feel free to distribute the program, it would be nice to credit me, but I really don't care.

This program assumes that your ff14 process is "ffxivgame", which Windows needs in order to find the window.

If this program is against TOS, I have no problem for mods deleting this.

Oh and about that autohotkey program. I don't like installing random programs on my computer. This does not to install anything really, unless you don't have .net.

I'm not responsible for anything that happens when you use this program.

I think Vista ships with .NET 3.0 or something and 7 with 3.5. The newest version is 4.0 though. Which version did you compile it with?

Yea its compile with 4. I am a bit new to c#, I primary program in java and c, but if you want try running it in 3.5.

Or you can just upgrade your .net.

Well C# is pretty much identical clone of Java, (even so much it went to court, etc) and C is far superior but less modern.

C# is pretty good for most purposes but you will always have to use some lower language to back it up when it comes to new hardware features or highly optimized stuff. Until now C# gave me far less trouble than Java.

Ill compile it with 3.5 when I get home. If not, you can always compile it yourself.

    Edit: .net 3.5 version: http://min.us/mGSWC4lpy
