If that's the case...
PS3 needs to go.
If it took this long for them to do anything for the TP bar. [And I honestly think they said something about it was because PS3.]
Then drop that system by late 2016 at the latest. That system is sadly holding us all back.
Is PS3 really holding us back that much?
I've been playing this game since its released on 1.0... so I clearly have liked it, or maybe I'm a masochist. But here is how I feel so far:
In terms of the design of end-game content, between 2.0 and 3.0 they are nearly identical.
2.0 = Weekly tomes for gear, weekly coil, primals, and masterbooks for crafting (i forget what gathering was)
3.0 = Weekly tomes for gear, weekly coil.v2(alexander), primals, and red scrips.
I guess there was crystal tower, but I've already mentally repressed that suffering. And have fun waiting forever for PVP?
Call me crazy but for $40 I expected them to take a slightly different design approach for end-game. Granted the level design and story was phenomenal, but that is only half of what this game is. The rest of the content is just copy/paste in a sense. It feels like we're on a single ladder, we climbed up the next rung which felt exactly like the last.
To me it feels like they went by "How can we make the 2.0 end-game suck less for 3.0?" instead of "what new things can we add to the game to make it better?" I was just hoping a variety of fresh and different things to do, and not just more of the same. It was like an unpleasant feeling of deja vu as it seems uninspired and redundant. I have no motivation for it because of that.
Its sort of like hearing a joke, the more you keep hearing it the less funny it becomes.
(I still don't get the character limit for posts.. lol)

People are never happy. But its ok though, because everybody has so much variety with their lives and fresh things to do everyday all the time.
Blame the English forums during the Beta for that. Real sea of filth that was. As for the 'I didn't pay good money for two dungeons' you're right. You paid good money for five large zones, several dungeons of levels between 51 and 60 as well as future content updates that will expand on that. Not to mention all that new dungeon gear (the quest rewards are just old dungeon gear made craftable) from all those dungeons. You can't limit your appraisal to just the two level 60 dungeons and the first part of the first raid, there's a ton of stuff that you had to go through to get there. As for the argument that it's just more of the same as 2.#... well that's no surprise, it's a continuation of 2.#. This isn't even close to the same as the transition to 2.0 from 1.0, that was a complete rebuild of XIV.
I'm just glad they didn't go full on Blizzard and make me have to relearn how to play the entire game from start to finish every expansion.
They went from EQ lite to story filled RPG to a right balance of accessibility and challenge to "WTF" to "Casual central, hope you don't have much time" to Facebook in the span of 10 years.
Coupled with complete class redesigns..
I'll take HW, thanks.
See perfect example of what I was talking about, you will be here for another 2 years. Why does it matter how you feel, you show no indication that you will ever vote with your wallet. The only customers that matter are ones that will leave, and they largely enjoy this format.
You need some sort of professional help if you wait 2 years and think they are going to suddenly change a winning formula at this point.
Look at WoW. They tried to be "innovative" and most of their playerbase left. Innovation is a HUGE risk for an MMO. SE has already done things differently and been successful. There's no need for huge innovation that might alienate a lot of the playerbase.
