Are they undercutting or are people overpricing?
If they can still make Gil when pricing 50k lower then perhaps some people were being greedy?

This is important to consider as well. Someone willing to accept a lower profit margin isn't harmful to the economy. What's most likely happening is people bought mats right after launch that were highly overpriced (because that's what happens at every launch and expansion) and then when they tried to sell their product with a profit. But since the mats were overpriced, the product had a high price as well and wouldn't sell. After a month now, the mats costs have gone down (due to supply increasing) and thus, so have the prices. So people can sell the product at a lower price and still make a profit.
There's nothing wrong with undercutting at all. If you think the undercutter is selling too low and that the item can be sold at a higher price, then buy up the low price goods and resell them higher. If they sell, then you've just increased your profits. If they don't, you know that you're overpricing the goods.
