If u have unlimited access to the raw materials = undercutt away! As long as u make more than the total of vendor gil u'd get from selling it i consider it a profit :3

I don't craft or gather.
If I am selling something on the Market board, I did not spend a single gil on it. I do want to make profit, but I also want to get rid of it ASAP because it's taking up valuable inventory space.
How to do that? Either people are only selling big stacks of the given item, so you make smaller ones and can price it higher than the lowest, or you have to go under the lowest one. There is no other choice if you absolutely want to get rid of said item.
Also, with some prices I have seen on the market board, you DoH/DoL seem to forget that the average player does NOT have access to millions of gil, at level 60 most people have ~1-2 million from just the MSQ and stuff around.
Already try, and you can't. Why? If by miracle your "opponant" accept the deal, someone else will undercut, so you'll undercut and so on.... This is like a real life market, You want to sell to make profite and increase your sells. The only way to make some agreement is when your share an elitist market with a very few crafters, and in those cases, those poeple want to make the more gils possible, so they don't hesitate an instant to sell with lose to make the other sellers disgusted. Sometimes they also buy all the "rare" mats to increase the price, make you impossible to craft "this item" because mats are not their anymore, and get the money back by selling at twice the price when you're gone. Those poeple have hundred(s) millions and will not stop farming gils until they got cap the 999.999.999 gils on all their retainers.I mean, come on, we all have done it once in a while, undercutting someone by a few gil, just to get the quicker sale.. i speak of the people who sit there and undercut by hundreds, or thousands of gil, forcing prices to where its not even worth selling an item anymore, and just better off vendoring it off. We ALL want to make money, can't we all work together and come to some agreement?? Lets work together, and find a fair medium to charge at base minimum so that everyone can have a fair share at making some money.
Some days i want to take up crafting with the sole goal of putting the gillianaires out of business.
By that i mean making and selling high demand glamor stuff for cheap. You can buy me out all you like, Ill just dedicate more time to flooding the market with my cheap glamor stuff. I dont care about the profit, i just want to force the other crafters to put up reasonable prices.
I'd much rather sell 10 things at 100k each than 1 thing at 1 million.
And when you've bled your gil dry by buying up all the expensive mats to make said items only to sell at a loss what are you going to do then? Some days i want to take up crafting with the sole goal of putting the gillianaires out of business.

Well i'd start by not buying expensive mats and farm them myself.
Yeah, I'd totally make a thread laughing at the fools who never leave the City and just craft things by buying crazy expensive mats from the Gatherers who laugh themselves silly at your lazy stupidity while raking in your Gil.
Hell, I've made 600k gil off my daily Clan Hunts in the last 2 days just selling whatever drops while killing things to the people with more Gil than sense.
I'll just be over here, spending a couple of hours to farm mats for free so i can sell a bunch of things at 100% profit, laughing at the people who spend a million gil on mats.

When you say let's work together. You might want to aim at everyone then. Especially the people who want to be greedy and inflate the price of something to the point it becomes absurd.
Never happen people are too stupid and ignorant, your wasting your timeI mean, come on, we all have done it once in a while, undercutting someone by a few gil, just to get the quicker sale.. i speak of the people who sit there and undercut by hundreds, or thousands of gil, forcing prices to where its not even worth selling an item anymore, and just better off vendoring it off.
