I did my second zodiac/zeta in a total of 3 weeks, mainly because i did not want to grind dungeons - and for a glamour piece anything more then a day is ridiculous.

Just give them(us) the skins without zeta effect and don't make them(us) grind 30 dungeons 1000 mobs 30 leves and 30 fates bookstage - 500 light nexus stage - x dungeons for zodiac

If you want the weapon with the super glowing effect, keep that zeta only, but for a pure glamour. Nah - I did 2 Zeta before 3.0 and am grinding the last lights for my third on my nin with FATEs and i would like some more weapons for glamour's sake unless the 3.x relics are looking better - but i will not go through that ordeal a 4th 5th or 6th time - even if its nerfed now to the ground :/

I finally got my artemis bow to nexus stage yesterday, and after all of the relic nerfs, I can testify that novus to nexus is the longest grind by FAR.

Atma drop frequently. Animus books are easy to blow through with higher ilevel, better fate spawn rates, and reduced mobs to kill. Alexandrite drops frequently, with cheap poetic maps awarding 5 a piece. Zodiac dungeon drops are buffed to about 50% or higher. All tomestone costs are a fraction of original price, and crafted pieces are easily handled with level 50-60 crafting.

Light farm requires about 500 fates for novus to nexus. That's a lot better than 2000 fates, but still takes a solid day for a NEET like me. I actually got most of those lights from using a 110 novus weapon on 3.0 fates, since fate xp finally increased. The problem is that, unlike many other relic weapon stages, you need to equip the weapon, which means really poor performance. Even if you run duties to get light, you will be slowing the group down with your crappy ilevel 110 weapon, light farm parties are a thing of the past, and you don't earn light if you do the duty with unsynced party.

Considering novus to nexus is only a 5 ilevel increase, they should really drop the requirement to something like 20 dungeons or 50 fates. Make it comparable to the dungeon requirement for the animus books.

My point was that those of us that earned our Zetas when they were current EARNED them. Even if, at level 60, a Zeta is little more than a glamour piece, it was still a long slog and a hard road we had to traverse over the course of years to obtain. I don't object to SE nerfing the requirements for getting a Zeta post-HW, that just makes logical sense. But I also don't see a good reason to give people that glamour option who never earned the weapon in the first place. If they want to go do the work to earn the weapon and have that for glamour, they'll go do it.
Tell that to the people who grinded their PvP levels.
It's one hell of a grind even compared with relic (I have 2 Zetas, both pre-nerf.) -- yet SE just goes and removes the rank requirement for the i100/i110 PvP gears entirely.

Should have used your relic when doing FATEs, they give more Light now.

Maybe give old duties and the FATEs a bit more Light boost go ahead, but remove it entirely? Hell no. Lest you forget, there are still people who have not purchased the expansion and probably won't do so. Giving them another shortcut to 2.0 endgame leaves less for them to do.

This is the entire reason the relic steps have been set up the way they were, on all steps.
To get people to run content, specifically older content. This gives more population to the older content so new players aren't left in the dust to fend for themselves.

It's not a bad design, really.

HUGE difference. PvP gear keeps you competitive. Relic will in no shape or form keep you competitive, true comparison would be when they remove the caps from tomestones and you can buy as much gear as you want with them with no llimits.

Minority? Of players, or forum goers?

Thing is, any time you are farming something you'll more than likely get bored.

The i100/i110 PvP gear "keeps you competitive" in what, exactly? What warrants the use of them over available PvE gear aside from glamour?
In Wolves Den sync and Frontlines, it's synced down to i80
In Wolves Den unsync and Seal Rock, the i110 stuff is equivalent to i130 stuff

You beat me to it, they totally screwed people who got to high PVP ranks to have stuff available that is now handed out for simply the cost of purchase.

No need for people to have it to be competitive in the game (in 2.5, or 3.0)... people worked really hard to get it at the exclusion of being able to do other things on game... not much use for it now except glamour: ok want am I talking about the PVP i110 sets or upgraded relics, could be either because that description fits both. If, after ppl ground out their relic, they had found out a few days ago people can now go up to Rowena and buy a relic zenith for every class with Poetics tomes, they'd get why we're pissed off.

I thought the pvp change was unfair for the pvpers, BUT it's pretty silly that your pvp rank is tied into your Grand Company. I've changed my GC several times since 2.0 for achievements, bardings, and pets, and I plan to change at least a few more times. One of the reasons I don't pvp is that I know I would lose my ranking when I change. The pvp grind is serious enough already, forcing some players to do it again just to equip the stuff they were previously wearing is absurd.

What they should have done was allow you to wear gear equaling your highest pvp rank with any GC, not remove the rank requirement completely.
