Fenrir is lacking.

Unless you're lucky, or dutifully do the lottery every time it's available, Fenrir is one of the hardest, if not the hardest, mounts in the game to get, yet it's lacking things such a hard to acquire mount should rightfully have. It doesn't have an ability, and it cannot fly. Now, the flying thing is important, and I don't know lorewise how it'd work (just enchant it with crazy shiva magic or something, idk), so that might be impossible, but at the very least, it feels like it should be able to perform the animation of lunar cry.

My ADS can perform low voltage, and will reportedly be able to fly. It will likely become my mainstay mount when it can fly, but honestly, I'd like to use my wolf instead.

I'd kinda see it like breathing an ice trail underneath it to travel in the sky. Only thing I could think to allow "flight"

In that case, why not take the carpet from the turtle and let it ride it for flight too?

imo if fenrir wont be able to fly his pricetag needs to go down by a good amount. but we all know that wont happen. because RNG saucer is working as intended.

i took the cloud card instead and I'm happy

btw, it's only a grind of ~140 hours, less if you luck some mini cackpots etc or participate in tt tournaments, getting ads is much worse (300-500 hours of frontline...)

You could make that same argument about the horses; had they not announced before HW that they'd be able to fly eventually, no one would've known, and they're certainly a lot easier to acquire than the wolf.

And given I enjoy PvP, getting my ADS didn't seem to be bad at all.

I agree...Fenrir is pointless and I will not get it ever unless I eventually just luck into the points and have extra. Who knows though...maybe in the next expansion we will be back to non-flying scenarios...this could be just a 1 expansion deal...I hope not though...flying is just rad.

Seriously, sometimes lore is taken to ludicrous conclusions by both players and developers when in reality the whole game is in a fantasy world full of magic. If broomsticks can talk and move then a Wolf can sure as heck fly!

You can shoot lightning from your fingertips, fall off a cliff of any height and not die, or summon a meteor that obliterates everything in sight (except party members, for some reason the blast totally misses them), but if you think for one second a wolf could fly everyone loses their minds
