    A Shield Oath additional effect where when you are attacked you heal for 25% of damage suffered is not overpowered as Dark Knights have Soul Eater, which absorbs 100% damage dealt, where the potency is 260 or 400 with Dark Arts.
    My Dark Knight can easily heal itself up. Yet Paladin needs Clemency to heal up, which is probably not practical in battle when you are being attacked so the 25% damage suffered heal would help them be more comparable in terms of capability to the Dark Knight.
    Besides, this effect helps the Paladin to be a more defensive tank.

    The Shield Oath additional effect of where when you are attacked you heal for 25% of damage suffered is not overpowered as Dark Knight has a 100% heal for damage dealt through soul eater (260 potency or 400 potency with Dark Arts).
    My Dark Knight can heal itself nicely yet the paladin can't as casting spells when being attacked has a risk of failing. This additional effect would help the paladin be an even more defensive tank. Increasing the attack speed is good as it allows for my attacks to be unleashed over time.

    1.0 has Aegis Boon where the next block you do will block the entire damage and heals you for the amount of damage dealt. Seeing that we already have sheltron, it is possible to get new abilities like that or something along the lines of reversed bloodbath that instead heals you for the amount of the damage blocked doubling the mitigation each block does.

    You're insane. PLD are already kings of passive mitigation just because they have block, and a consistent str debuff they can keep up (that stacks with other things).


    The blocking will continue to scale, too. Further widening the gap between its passive mitigation compared to the other two.

    When you need actually need clemency it's too slow and too easily interrupted. It's really an OT spell but even then you healers are faster and better than clemency.

    Finding unnecessary uses for a skill doesn't make it any good. Perpetual ray isn't killing a tank with decent healers, most tanks are doing a4 in their DPS stance full time.

    I'm sure there are places you COULD use it, but I haven't seen a place you SHOULD use it. If it can be interrupted your heals can't count on it and must being casting themselves, the same way healers never count on an attack being parried or blocked.
