Too many people care about things about what should already be in the game, and they have every right to feel this way.
We pay this game a month to get away from that Cash Shop BS.
Character change / Name change all that is fine.
But it's BS when you mounts, minions that's overpriced like hell, and God damn dye's into a CS. And the worst of it all...INVENTORY SPACE inside the CS.
This isn't WoW, shouldn't run like WoW. Just because some other MMO does it, doesn't mean everyone else needs to do the same.
Shouldn't also feel like a F2P game where you buy extra space.

I have to agree with you on this.

Look at the threads talking about equal glamour outfits for male avatars. Every complainer is a entitled player who cares to much, about what another player dresses his or her character with. I do not understand why people care so much about other player character, do have soo much free time, that they care what others do with their character?

So yeah, while I do have different opinion about the Mog Station. I can agree with you that the players of FFXIV (atleast the ones on the forum) are very entitled.

No, I care about the ethics of business and the type of business model the companies I support utilize. I do not support double-dipping on in-game items. All of the non-service items in the cash shop could have easily been available through in-game content, but people like yourself and others in this thread have this illogical need to spend even more money than they have to in the misguided intention of "supporting" the company. All you're doing is making it easier for SE to charge more and more for stuff that should be included in the game.

Vanity is not extra. Costumes are not extra. Mounts and pets are not extra. These items are all content. These items are actually the motivation for play for a lot of people. For us, seeing those things go on a cash shop is as reprehensible as launch-day DLC.

It's the truth, is it not? You really think they care what a fraction of their playerbase think, over turning a profit? If they did, would the cash shop even exist?

Did you ever think that, just maybe, if no one actually bought anything from the cash shop... SE would have no reason to keep it?

What you and other people do with your money absolutely affects SE's decisions.
