    Ooor...

Get some competent players - it's not for everyone. Save the DPS cooldowns for the carapace. The DPS check is measly; we beat it in ilvl 150-160s at first. If the party can't beat it at full i180s, the problem's in the players and not the fight. Then again, the fight is just simply better for some classes. I don't think stacking BLMs or SMNs is very good for short and bursty periods aboard Bismarck. Having a Warrior or even two with you helps a lot if they can play some of the fight in DPS stances.

The DPS check may seem hard for the Average Joe PFer atm, but it's not intended to be cleared by everyone anyways.

Inaccurate, future ex primal fights, like in the past, will require completion of ex primal fights that came before. It isn't a matter of gear, it's progression at this point.

Sorry to say, but bis ex only has a handful of fairly simple mechanics; don't get on the back until your debuff has worn off, don't hit the wrong snake, kill/don't kill the bubbles etc

the rest is just dps rotation

I can only assume you're not meeting the dps check because people are dying because they are ignoring the few mechanics above, or they just don't know their jobs well enough, the answer to both being you need to be more selective in who you group with.

    Many cleared in i145 gear

I've joined a handful of groups to help. Only one ever cleared. The rest start bickering after one wipe then instead of going back to pf to replace they all drop and disbanded. Now I just wasted an hour of my time trying to help a group of randoms who were clearly not serious about killing it.

I personally enjoy helping progression groups but at this point I only help if someone asks me. Not SE's fault people give up so easily.

As for the dps checks, they are tuned for lower item level than what most have at this point. Your groups are just bad dps of they can't break the carapace.

I agree with Viva here, OP, you should be ready to invest some patience in this endeavor: it makes a victory so much sweeter.

While I'm still looking towards Bismarck EX ingame, FC friends who've already been there and lived to tell the tale confirmed that it is simply a matter of mechanics and DPS quota. So, try working towards a solution - think of the carapace as a warning light you've got to pass, and tell your party to take the various phases seriously (overgearing shouldn't be an excuse for slacking out and put the whole team into danger).

Soldier on then, you might be surprised at the results.

If you think Bismarck is bad now, then Ravana will give you fits. I've spent weekends where "farm parties" in PFs end up being as bad or worse than "learning parties."

It feels like finding a group that can clear it successfully is like finding a diamond in a turd. Oh well... Only thing that gets me now is that I just got my Rav Ex weapons this past week, and now esoterics outclass it completely.

I cleared this with all members going on, the many times I've ran afterwards to help friends if your Killin all adds far enough everyone jump on, if not splitting the group works best and the ppl not getting on help finish off the adds before next wave

First of all MCH is not bad at all, I am usually top 2 DPS for primal fights. Maybe the new MCH didn't learn how to play it yet. Second I cleared this with my static in ilvl 160-170 gear so its all a matter of skill really. Just do PF and find people who are capable.

Response in two parts: To the elitists who I obviously expected: I am a healer. I heal things. For the last part, I switch to cleric stance and I dps on it's carapace. Then the island gets eaten. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong if my group survives and if I dps at the end?

Join an FC. I did. My own. Thanks! We only have a few players who are total completionists (and I just started a few months ago) but it beats having to deal with the attitude of some people.
