Cry this, cry that. This has been written so many times, can't you just necro an old thread instead? They ARE working on it. Things like this takes time. Who said adding a key map menu just like that is easy? No one has ever mentioned it, use the right dev tag and tell them! Don't come crying when you don't read the manual OR forum rules. It says that if you want dev to read it, use the appropriate dev number. If you want a formal answer from Yoshi, send him a letter, like thousands of people already have done. They had a bad start, they are working on it. But before making a guide "how to do this and that" they must complete what the guide should guide to! Like, why have a guide to allot points, when they are dissappearing next patch? Guides comes WHEN a game is ready, not before. We don't want them to make a new guide every patch. They have said 3 times that the new patch will come around the end of september, please, read every post before QQ'ing!

Take a shot of tequila or something to calm the F down. Newsflash new people will post new threads. I know it's shocking right?

To OP. My little sister had a similar experience, she is not an MMO player much less experienced with an SE MMO. Without me beside her directing her on how to do things she would have been pretty lost. Hopefully the tutorials that are incoming are CLEAR, it's nice that these things are being added but again if it's not added right it's a lost opportunity.

That's a joke, having to use any resources outside of the game is not acceptable. If that's the case then there should be no full screen option allowed.

Unless you are playing EVE, everything you need to play in the game should be covered in game. Not everyone reads the manual and there is no proper tutorial.

Should I instead instead something like:
Oh, its to bad it doesnt work for YOU, im sure Yoshi will do everything he can to make YOU happy. He got a full playerbase to make happy. Hurrying things won't make happy customers, it would make people leave because they lose hope. There is a reason they make big patches now.

Its great to see a new players perspective of the game with a nice overview of what they think could improved upon. Not sure why some forum ppl are harassing the poster. I hope se reads this and already has these tutorials and fixes in mind.

The most profound issue is obviously the wards. The issue of being forced to zone anywhere from 10-20 times in order to buy what you want at an early level is silly. And add on top of it that you are zoning into one of the most laggy places and the problem sprawls out of control. I have learned to enjoy the wards but I would much prefer new players to be greeted with a nice easy to use and understand interface. One that works quickly and gets the job done fast.

As a software designer I always have to keep in mind "how is this going to be used, who is using it, and what are they trying to accomplish". Before adding fluff that I think is going to make the feature nicer in my opinion I try to ask myself is it going to make their job/task easier or harder? And is it worth the effort to maintain. Yes they may think XYZ feature sounds cool but always gotta remember its main purpose. Right now the wards offer fancy pipe dreams of "maybe our retainer can go shopping for us!" this should have been immediatly overwridden by "the overhead and server stress created by this is not worth the benefit."

Most of the basic info like default keys for controls were included with the game on a little placart that had a full keyboard layout. No one READS THE FRACKING MANUAL THOUGH.

Am I the only one? I read it while installing, and have it open on the hotkyes page infront of me constantly. The only way, when you have a memory like a sieve. XD

Ok I'm not pretending to be new, this is now my main as I rerolled for my boyfriend, see Jack Daniels Wutai. Also check my recent post history I have mentioned a few times that I have crp50 and bot46. It's my bf who is new and I was trying to point out things to SE that need to be fixed from a new persons point of view. Relax ok?

K, sorry, i was a little (ok pretty much) harsh. It's just that iv'e seen so many posts of these lately, most of like "they dont do this, they dont do that" when we now daily get updates on lodestone. I mean, most of what you posted out has been said, and yah, they should add tutorials ingame to, but doing it right now would be a bad idea. Thats all i wanted to say. Sorry, ive been a bit easy provoked lately, and i let it go out over you guys. If you ever need any help ingame, just ask, should be many here willing to help (and next time il be more positive, ok? )
