Spoke to the dev. team to try and wrangle some more details regarding the upcoming job system. The current thinking is to have one job for one class. So for example, if you are a gladiator, the job you could unlock would be paladin, etc. Right now, we can't give any further details about the possibility of having multiple jobs per class.

To try and stave off the coming flood of "So if gladiator becomes paladin, then what will xyz class unlock?" You'll have to stay tuned for more details in the future!

... makes no such claim as to BLM being in the initial release of jobs. In fact, he explicitly suggests to avoid rumors on what jobs other classes are getting until official info is released.

I don't see anything saying "THM is BLM and you will be getting it in the first wave of jobs", do you?

Your not debuking anything. You have no proof or backup to say otherwise. We do. Fact is the FIRST jobs finalized are WHM BLM. there are two mages in the game. Your answering question with questions so it makes your debate weak.

Fact is it does not say they are the FIRST jobs but it does say its the FIRST jobs finalized. SO while it does not state its the first in the game it also does not state it is NOT the first in the game. Your guess has a less chance of happeneing then mine.

See that part I bolded. That is not stated anywhere. The interview that you are clearly referring to, states that the NAME is decided upon/finalized. Not that the job is finalized. A job being finalized means it is done and ready.

I am not arguing to back my guess up. I am pointing out that you are misinterpreting info.

Also if it does not state BLM and WHM are first in game, and it also does not state that they are NOT first in game - then by definition there is no statement and thus our guesses have equal chance of happening... but I already stated my guess is a guess and I'm not trying to back it up. I'm just not pretending to have evidence is all.

it seems with CON getting WHM spells and 1 job per class at the start and BLM being one of the finalized job "names" it just seems BLM being a finalzied name and all i would assume it would be first. thats all. You both are going crazy over a guess thread. I think its gonna happen thats all.

It means it will be in the game. It does not even suggest it will be among the first. Due to this, there is no reason to attempt to fit 2 mentioned mage jobs to 2 existent mage classes.

Knowing you will implement something in the future, does not mean it is a priority. At his point the ONLY Class - Job relationship found in evidence is GLA - Paladin. Paladin is also the only job confirmed to be in the first wave of jobs. Everything else is strictly speculation.

Like I said, guesses are fine I have nothing against it. I have nothing against you personally either. This is a thread however, and you are not the only player who somehow understood that finalized names means initial jobs and took it as a fact - I'm trying to clear things up is all.

Well i disagree. If you think all they did was say "BLM name is coming but we aint working on it now" then i disagree. Which is fine cause you are right about one thing ... its all guesses we do not know.

I also thought that the jobs listed were jobs coming to us 1st but I do agree that no where it confirms that. Also BLM and WHM are really basic jobs and I kinda assumed they would be part of the 1st wave of jobs, which they might or might not, but I just can't see THM get either WHM or BLM according to the lore we have.

Someone put the quote about revisiting the classes abilities and that there will be some changes but there is no way they will strip CON of the elemental spells to give them to THM just so they can put BLM in the 1st wave. It just doesn't fit THM and elementals are the CON's way of life.

I also can't see THM getting WHM since CON got the basic cures and buffs and raise spells, and I can't see them switching those to THM either since they just gave them to CON in the last patch.

So after all that, my guess is CON will either get WHM or BLM in the 1st wave and get the other later on, maybe even both in the 1st wave since if both jobs are ready they could as well release both. What Bay said in june was that for now it was 1:1 but it could have changed since then.

So we will have all this cleared up after 1.19 when Yoshi-P explains, no need to get angry over this.

ahh i see. and i agree. look i may be wrong who knows but with BLM AF coming BLM being metioned by the devs are finalized "names" for a job system and 1 class per job (err vice versa) you can not blame me for thinking that way. Just because it was not confirmed does not mean these are not the first jobs. but mab they are not who knows.

all im saying is that there is more proof (imo) to blm coming first then not. As i said b4 i could be wrong but i do not think i am.
