No, I read the entire thread, and it's complaining and overstating that there is "too much maint". That and a conversation centred on peoples CATS. They've split the maints for reasons unclear, deal with it. Change your sleep pattern for a day. If you can't slide your sleep forward, you're probably not that great at whatever important job it is, be it a medic, late nigh maintenance engineer or 12 hour shifter in a factory, adaptability in your schedule is important. You should probably read the thread too... D:
I didn't mean 8 complete days had been taken (that's pretty obvious), and yes, oh em gee, it's totally my fault that I took a job where I wouldn't be working 'normal hours', and it's also a job where I can't screw around with my sleep schedule like that, or clock off early. (Tiredness =mistakes, mistakes can = death, literally.)
We're not asking for maint to be changed to a different time, honestly, we're just musing about how often it's been as of late. There's a great deal of respect and appreciation floating around here for the guys that do all of the maintenance work. But you'd know that... if you read the thread :x
I kinda wish people would stop reading the first post, cherrypicking the last post and then making an assumption on the rest of the thread's contents. This isn't your typical "OMGQQMAINT" thread.
I'm not cherry picking, I'm taking the overall tone and that is "QQ too much maint". It sucks, it really does, but they split it and it'll stay split, the times are when they are and they have only ever significantly changed when there has been an emergency. At the least, you know in advance there will be a second maint soon after, so you can make plans.
All I can say is "wow"
Ahhaha oh god, just no. Yes, adaptability is important but how dare you make such basless assumptions on someone's skills in that way. I'm sorry but that is plain rude.
I happen to be pretty good at what I do, thanks. And I can adapt~ flexibility is important but honestly usually I'm only ever covering the later shift as opposed to earlier shift (which does make adapting to the overnighter much easier since I usually sleep at around 5~am anyhow.) I do also take my work very seriously, since you know, people's lives hang in the balance. People > gametime.
You're completely misreading the tone~ and 2~3 comments about peoples' cats doesn't make this entire conversation centered on it. The QQing you assume we're doing is merely musing~ 2 totally different things, the latter comes with a whole lot less whining.
I understand you're bored, but coming into a thread with a misguided superiority complex is just making you look bad. :x

ok 1 maintenance for breakfast and another for dinner
no maintenance for picnics?
