Hard to see how I'm trolling when you just described the ideal situation I'd look for in open world pvp and agreed with it, guess we both want the same thing.Obvious attempt to troll, and I've seen better.
Do not forget you too can be hunted just as well.
In fact, I would purposefully create a linkshell network designed to hunt PKers that target the weak or unsuspecting, and hunt them viciously. Just like A/S ranks. I would report griefers to the LS and actively hunt them. And enjoy it.
It's fine if you like PvP. I like it too. But wanting it purely to cause drama or grief is precisely reason why you don't (and shouldn't) get it. If that's what you truly want, I'd suggest a different game. You would not be welcome here.
Life's a tease.
Wrong. You clearly said "the best drama comes from hitting unsuspecting players pveing"
Do correct me if I'm wrong, but that sounds like that's what you WANT to do. If so, I find that pretty deplorable. But of course, that's not what you meant, right? Lol. Nah, open world PvP for everyone, to solve the not-actually-big problem of rude/impatient players engaging in the hunts! It's super-effective! . . . Open world PvP wouldn't fix the hunt. It would kill it. Why? Because every hunt mob suddenly becomes one big bait in an area-wide trap.
Let's look at the bigger picture here: Consider the PvP maps, and the (few but effective) hiding places. Then consider the layout of each PvE area. One is designed with PvP in mind, and the other purely is not. Consider natural threats and the positions of them. What about fates? Gathering nodes? Aetheryte camps. Sightseeing vistas. Leves. Quest locations. . . None of that is designed with the possible complication of player-based danger in mind. And if people had to watch their back just to go out and attune an aetheryte, or hunt a daily B rank, not only would people stop calling them out, they'd actively stop hunting. The domino effect would only begin there.
Now sure, the answer could be a PvP server. And I might even be inclined to check it out. But trying to fix issues with one type of content by just adding another is simply, poor in practice. Lest we forget the hunt imbalance essentially had to be fixed with a little thing called Nexus light farming. (Yes, SE, some of us did read between those lines and see it for what it was.)
