Math: 6729dps = 4min 12 sec kill If both tanks were in VIT and lets say did 500dps (probably lower but lets be nice) its 6098 dps which is 4min 38 sec kill. So that's +26 seconds, now factor in that Ravana was about to do swift liberation you need to add another 20 seconds and you would be finishing him during final liberation.

That is simplifying things since the slower DPS would actually domino from the beginning of the fight, lowering the entire raids DPS by a decent chunk.

I am leveling a DPS character because tanks wanting to do MAD DEEPS has completely destroyed my fun factor. It's frustrating watching them go from 90% to 10% in a single GCD, and I feel like I can't do anything but stare at HP bars in anticipation. Forget Cleric Stance, any DPS I might have contributed is now sucked out of the black hole that is tank DPS.

That's my point. You are taking your group and saying everyone must be like you, but how is that a better argument than "my group wants str tanks so everyone should be like me"? You can't say that you are right because it's what you do then say others are wrong for what they do. It's hypocrisy. You're group PREFERS vit tanks. That doesn't make str tanks wrong. Preference isn't right or wrong.

These threads continue because people are propogating rightness and wrongness to an aspect of the game where that is determined by skill and preference. If you and your group are skilled enough you can wear more str, and even prefer it. There's nothing wrong with that. Lucrezia with str tanks doesn't somehow devalue vit tanks everywhere. They can both coexist. Everyone doesn't have to be like 'your group'. They aren't your group.

A fast kill more due to the fact that the healers are dpsing and they are single tanking the fight. Most pug Ravana ex people double tank and the healers don't dps.

It is a very valid parse. If their exceptional healers can keep up two STR tanks while in clerics stance for almost the entire fight (it was only off while he was untargetable) then surely average healers can keep up two STR tanks by never using clerics, or using it sparingly. Two raid tier healers could synergize their clerics with one another.

I was so use to dark being a dps job from 11 I didn't notice they had a 2nd tank. But almost all darks use all str by default because they want to be dps lol

The question is what if you have healers who tell you to use vit gear and would get really mad if you did use str gear? With my group the whm told me to use all vit gear because he doesn't care about the boss dying 30 seconds faster. Which I do because they are the healer after all. At the end of the day if you beat all the content does it really matter if you used str or vit gear on your tank? The bosses are still dead you still got your loot, so why the huge argument over it?
