Let's talk about Hunts - a detailed rundown of their assumed mechanics

Chocobos part is not even part of the Japanese hint, it's there as fluff in the English translation so keep that in mind.

It's also here in the french translation. This is why most of the people on Moogle were focusing on the chocobo part. The french translation comes from the english ones which can lead us to get false informations (Moogle is mostly FR, makes things worse)

Keo, have people tried doing fates as a full party? I know when we were doing it earlier we both just had our Chocobo's out. Seeing as the text mentions hunting a pack/group, maybe it preys on groups which are partied up? That's if it's linked to fates at all. I tried killing a lot of B ranks earlier. I thought maybe me hunting the hunt marks might cause it to spawn. No luck though, obviously.

Yeah Frantz had that theory about A & B ranks but Senmurv should have spawned at least once with all the people rushing for the other ranks. Idk if being in a full party means something, since there's always a bunch of team with 8 people for A ranks, and even for Tarasque sometimes. Pucelle did already FATE farming with a full group and tried more than 1 time with no success. And it was at 55 hours + after maintenance so...

OK, since you've yet to get that delicious Senmurv on Moogle, try the JP theory. Send a bunch of people at the the FATE 'Cerf's Up', make sure it gets cleared. Note that I _really_ rarely see this FATE, so it might need to be activated by a player.

Ok, so mateus just had Gandarewa the first time since heavensward release. i hit the miner nod at 5am and scouted the whole map (i flew over where it spawned), there was nothing, i actually alt tabbed (so i could see the chat). I came back around 12.48pm in-game ready to hit seventh heaven, and the S rank was called. I know it wasnt at this place on the 5am nod.

Weather when it spawned was Gales.

Well that's a shame to say that but on Moogle we're close to giving up on Senmurv until we get more infos concerning other servers spawn. The japanese theory hasn't worked either (how surprising ), I plan to re-do FATEs farming today just in case (that's the thing no one cares about on Moogle, everyone's on Northern Thanalan until they reach lvl55)

» Killing our own chocobo
» Killing every mob on our way
» Killing a lot of chocobos
» Doing leves (150+ have been done during the past 2 days, for what I've been told)
» Doing maps with a full party (got 70% of my dragonskin maps here -_-)
» Killing mark bills

best solution is to buff A and S rank hunts hp 10 to 20 times its current amount that way ninjas can eairly pull and many runners will make it intime to get max seals

Hands down the best hunt info on the web, thanks Vandesaan for compiling all this. From testing though, I do believe Zona Seeker can have a max respawn of 70 hours.

No HQ, yet it spawned. interesting. perhaps its a really low chance to spawn per hit? similar to bonnacon/croque, but less chance to spawn?
