Playing the marketboard is PvPing. This is the first time I've heard of this. Considering everyone is a PvE player, does that mean I'm supposed to hate players like me, too?
In any case, if you don't want to spend your gil on the MB, level crafts. Or wait until a staggering amount of people have done so, so many that you make more money running dungeons than you do crafting. Figure that one out.
Why couldn't they just add red scrips with the Alexander patch? Some of us don't care much for Alexander, all the delays are irritating, and we're just doubling downtime with more maintenances.
Where did you even find out there would be a patch on thursday in the first place? Aren't patches usually done on Tuesday's?

Patch 3.05 will be implemented in two separate maintenances. Adjustments to gatherer/crafter, including “red crafters' scrip” and ”red gatherers' scrip”, will be implemented in the maintenance scheduled on Jul. 22, 2015.
...yeah, I'm more concerned with these maintenances, really. It's becoming a pattern: maintenance on Tuesday, "hotfix" on Thursday... now we're having ISP maintenance on Monday (might be able to play, might not), patch maintenance on Tuesday, patch maintenance on Thursday...when are the hotfixes gonna happen? Wednesday and Friday? With emergency maintenance because of some screw-up in-between or during the weekend? I can appreciate regular upkeep, but this is getting kinda insane.
So for all of the people thinking all crafters are greedy insane people who are bent on destroying you how would you have it set up? If you make things too easy then anyone can be crapping out HQ items and no one makes a profit. You cry about prices but don't even consider someone spending countless millions on melds/etc. Have you ever sold a rare materia for a lot of gil? Then you too are guilty of driving up prices.
I give things away for basically free all of the time but you have to spend money to make money and at the end of the day I'd like a return on my investment.

I studied the Marketboard and then decided that it is broken. Same with Crafting Stuff. Since then i just don't use it.So for all of the people thinking all crafters are greedy insane people who are bent on destroying you how would you have it set up? A easy Way to make it more affordable is just to break the System that you need to invest Millions of Gil for the Equip the Crafter uses. A Way would be the new Tomes of Esoterics sell Crafting Gear. And more Drops out of Nodes and Stuff. The Crafting in MMO's was never intended for making Profit. It was to provide Support for the PvE or PvP. I dont say to totally make it worthless but to nerf it down to a level where a normal player can buy stuff after saving his dungeon run gil for 2-3 weeks. Or give PvE Players a Way of getting Gil while restricting the Crafters just to raise the Price. I think you like the first way...right?
But here there was some Players who thought "cool we can rip em off because it's not so easy doing crafting here in xiv let's build up a monopol!" And then...you have the Situation we have now.
That's correct. I can tell you why. I wanted the Arachne Set just for the Looks. The Set is outdated since...long Time. But still Crafters want nearly a Million Gil for one Piece. You can buy EVERYTHING! For roughly 300-400K Gil. So you just pay a Crafter for hitting 2-3 Macros double the Mats. Thats called a ripoff in Real World my Friend. And this was just an example on me. There are countless Players like that.
And it's really much more worse with Stuff thats "up to date".
Leveling a Crafting Class takes Weeks. Why? Well obiviously many don't want to help you. Your a new Competitor on the Marketplace. Nobody wants to share Spoils and so on. To take it simple everyone is controlled by his Greed aka "IT'S MY TREASUUUUUUURE GOLLUM GOLLUM!"

You sound bitter because crafters are earning money and you dont. That's correct. I can tell you why. I wanted the Arachne Set just for the Looks. The Set is outdated since...long Time. Thats called a ripoff in Real World my Friend. And it's Waaaaay Worse with actual Stuff. Way way way worse....
Seriously if you dont want to pay the ripoff MB price then just buy the mats and find a crafter who crafts for free or for a cheap fee. I dont know your problem lol. If you want convenience and stuff delivery to you with a click then pay the MB price
crafters are not here to do jack shit for you, they do not have to do ANYTHING FOR YOU.Wrong. Don't lie so straight like that. For Crafting you need to invest a Grand Sum first for perfect Melds on the Equip for the Equip itself and shit. Millions of Gil, because the System is not new and we are all friends. A new Player lvling Crafting means more Fighting over Selling.
The System is broken and you know it.
That the Crafts aren't viable for Endgame is my lil sweetpot, i hope it stays this way.
your agrument is based off the fact that we have to when we dont have to do anything for you at all.
you cry and complain and whine like thatll change anything, crafting takes ALOT of time and effort and good luck to get where we are and this is coming from a "PVE" player who farms A4.
it takes money to make money and we spend alot to profit of players just like you, players not patient enough to level any crafts (and no as of HW you dont need to meld jack and i have my masterbooks to prove this), too lazy and impatient to level a gatherer.
you battle only players feed the marketboard through your gritted teeth as you complain on forums like thatll do anything, you sound bitter that you arent making money thats all im reading from this.
call it broken all yo want, just like i tell pve players who want to yell at a tank/healer/dps, until you DO level your stuff you dont reserve the right to say anything about the job.
word of advise; get off your lazy ass or stop whining because im not dropping my prices for shit.

I don't think you have a clue what went into being able to craft that in the first place, upgrading tools to Supra/Lucis were a battle against RNG galore. No one could HQ any of these items without basically leveling every single class to 50+. So if someone took the time to level all the classes and get the necessary abilities AND gear themselves out then of course they are going to try and recoup some of their losses.I wanted the Arachne Set just for the Looks. The Set is outdated since...long Time. But still Crafters want nearly a Million Gil for one Piece. You can buy EVERYTHING! For roughly 300-400K Gil. Short of making everything easy as can be for anyone just to hop in and make whatever they want with minimal effort I don't see an issue. As for some of the currently massively overpriced items like the Thavnairian set, bear in mind people were selling individual mats for upwards of 7m at one point which you need 3 of. Not to mention the gear/etc/master books to make it. Profits are not always as amazing as people seem to think they are.
