    How much The Wanderer's Minuet truly adds to damage?

    It says +30% damage which sounds nice, but it turns
    Auto-attacks off
    Barrage off (because there are no auto-attacks so there's nothing to triple)
    Constant 'cast' interruptions when you are moving out of AOE
    Which all slowly add up to lost damage.
    Not to mention playing another generic rooted caster is not fun.

    Well first of all the recast is untouched and the cast time is 1.2 seconds so that leaves 1.2 seconds of time for oGCDs. Also, Barrage doesn't affect auto attacks anymore, it makes your next weapon skill hit 3 times so you can do a triple crit for 6k. So yes, WM truely does add to damage, not a full 30%, but more along the lines of 17% which is a number I heard on the forums with no source to it

    This skill doesn't do the same thing anymore, take another look at it. Also you don't have all the WM skills yet, your also not entirely rooted, not even close to how blm is given brd/mch cast times are about half. I will say though that GB even on my mch feels a little clunky, but I also hate their "cast" animation.

    Take another look at Barrage. Sounds like you haven't moused over after 3.0 was released.

    "Constant" cast interruptions is hyperbole. It's 1.5 seconds. If you activate the skill before the ground AoE appears, there are no AoEs that you can't get out of before it finishes. Unless you have a really crappy internet connection.

    Plus there's the new skills that can only be used in WM, and the bonuses they have from VB and WB.

    Move along people, OP doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

    And? Read the complete sentence and then notice this part: "...for a single-target weaponskill..."

    You can use Empyreal Arrow which Ive found often hits for 1k+dmg. With Barrage, Empyreal Arrow hits for 1000+ three times so at minimum 3k dmg.

    Now that aside, I dont know how much WM actually helps out as I dont parse, but Empyreal arrow + Barrage is decent.

    Yup. In Alex my Empys are hitting on average for 1500 before RS. I have gotten a 6k *hit* with Barrage Empy with a well timed BfB right before RS falls off.

    I'm guessing that you're playing pre-60 with this or going based off of raw wording/other people's comments. Play around with the skill in actual dungeons and boss fights at level 60 if you want to truly understand the nuances of why WM and GB do in fact give you a damage boost if utilized properly. Are there situations where it's better to turn it off and gain some mobility? Yes. Should you completely forsake it in favor of mobility? Probably not, but it's your choice. Should you forsake it without doing proper, unbiased, testing across multiple runs? Absolutely not.....
