    Though, you have to wonder how many of those who are complacent out of hopelessness to the contrary or contentedness with stability would rise up if a revolution gained enough momentum. I wonder how many Ala Mhigans remember when they ousted Theodoric only to have the magitek arrive to sack the city, and how many were killed when Baelsar assumed power as viceroy and put down all resistance. I also wonder how many minds were changed when the children raised under stable Garlean rule were conscripted to bolster the VIIth Legion only to have them completely annihilated by Bahamut, and that was only if they had survived the previous battles against the united city-states.

    Granted, if we offered them sovereignty and the restoration of their kingdom in exchange for rising up and joining the Alliance, the city would probably tear itself apart again. I suspect the Gyr Abania patch cycle (assuming 4.0) is going to be brutal.
