being new and @ level 50 is killing my interest

First of all..why do I need to do level 50 content instead of moving right on to Heavensward content? Why am I collecting tea leaves and other mundane crap for random NPCs after I've saved the world?

Anyways, I just got to the part where I have to fight Good King Moggle Mog (finally something interesting?) but it requires a full raid. Awesome. So I sat in queue for 20 minutes and finally got a party, but they voted to abandon the trial after TWO wipes. WHY? Clearly these people queued because they needed it, so why would they give up AFTER FIVE MINUTES? Especially when we get a stacking buff?? Is this normal for this games community? Now I'm sitting in queue again.

I wouldn't have spent $40 on Heavensward if I knew I'd probably never get to see any of it. :\

Silly logic. The expansion does more than simply extend the story, it also gives you the ability to gain experience points after 50. If you don't have Heavensward, all that post-50 experience would go to waste which would probably frustrate even more.

What the OP is talking about has absolutely nothing to do with having Heavensward or not and is the very legitimate argument which I've brought up myself numerous times. With the constant push to get people onto new content, older content and fights tend to be ignored by many players. Furthermore, those who have already beaten it are generally less patient than those who haven't, and give up after a wipe or two.

To the OP. The best thing I can suggest is to try and run the content with your FC. They're likely to be more willing to stick around if you wipe. Aside from that, just keep trying. It can be frustrating if you're constantly seeing vote abandons, but keep at it. You'll beat it eventually.

The problem is that new players are so set on getting into HW, like it's an entirely different game.

Imo, it's actually more boring than the entire 2.0...because 2.0 has so much more to do.
You get to 60, spam 2 dungeons, try and PF Primals, do Alex.
Stop rushing the dang game people.

Don't buy things you aren't going to play yet. If you don't like what what is going on in 2.0
you probably won't like 3.0. The only thing most people are concerned about are new jobs.

You do realized they are bundled as a package and no where does it say you have to complete ARR's story line just a cryptic reference to "suffecient progress" in the early access section.

No offense, but they should have mentioned that. I bought it expecting to be able to just go through all of it after a break I had taken. They basically kidnap your money until you finish shit you dont want to do.

This is what happens when WHMs and BLMs can't contain themselves and a bunch of Flares/Holys go off within 4 seconds of one another, with the King right in the middle of it. It's pretty much an auto-enrage with that, since I've wiped from that before.
