I thought you had to complete at least 3 of the HM dungeons in order to unlock HM roulette? Same with Trials

				@Kyonika
Chances are you are spreading yourself too thin by leveling a class a bit here then another a bit there.
It is best to just take one and level it to max by doing the main story plus a little extra (dungeons, fates, etc.). You get an XP bonus for leveling a class that is of lower level than you highest level class. On top of that, logout in towns to get a rest bonus to xp and always use food to get another slight XP bump.
That's pretty much it.

				Read the books, watched the movies, apparently one DOES walk into Mordor!
I just got to 30 with my character and I am working getting some of the others up to 15, but why do I feel that I need a guide to explain most of what you guys have been talking about.
I really hope the game tells me all this crap!

				Honestly going to level with you that person and other like them, either have more time on there hands than you to play than perhaps you do. Second the leveling process is a joke in this game currently if you been off and on for like almost 2 years that your fault, if you're expecting to be at the same pace as mention player then all that is required is more effort on your part to achieve that isn't going to be drop in your lap so to speak.

Don't expect i200. I expect savage alex to be i200, and I doubt AF2 will be the same or higher. I'm guessing on i190, because I'm expecting them to get a upgrade quest line.
Thanks. I've pretty much been doing all that. I even managed to finally get my MNK to 50 like just a few months ago too (purely fate and leve grinding + side quests and dungeons here and there), so I've been noticing that it's a bit faster on the lowbie levels too - now that you mention it. I've had to go and level DoMs for the ranged - cuz I keep dying too much (like more than once per boss fight - every fight), but anyways...@Kyonika

Not really expecting anything to "drop in my lap." Just thought there might be a trick to it that I've been missing...Honestly going to level with you that person and other like them, either have more time on there hands than you to play than perhaps you do. Edit: Could it be that the fast-leveling newbies ... are secretly suffering from ... 「Ultra hikikomori Ultimate-NEET-mode Activated 」? ...And that they are glued to this game like 24/7 for that entire duration of leveling?

				Well, the deal right now is that if the task of unlocking the roulette, flight, etc, rewarded end game currency for gearing up a character, there would be a lot less complaining and a lot more happy people playing the game at the moment. The whole point of the better gear is that it enables players to participate in certain kinds of content once they hit that level cap. Holding people back and making them rerun prior dungeons endlessly was the old hat way to do this, but the game has a lot of things we can do both in and out of dungeons, with some of it being required in order to participate effectively in other things like hunting.
Heck, the way they have the crafting and gathering separated from the combat classes is silly too. We could easily have dungeons / zones where the whole point is to get a gatherer to specific nodes. Kind of like big escort missions.
Well then, I say, If play is work (in the game as opposed to outside of it), then in the same fashion that we take our jobs one step at a time we should use the same view at persistent world games. The only thing I see in this thread is the need for the sense of "being rushed" or "Wanting to rush" to be met.Well, yes play is work, but there is still a difference between playing a game and working a store. The point is that you feel like you are doing something interesting and worth the time investment, thereby enjoying your time with it. I think a lot of people have issues with unlocking roulettes and getting flight access in this regard.
Trust me, I feel it too, I felt it when I was first leveling to 60. I would burn out and doze off while playing at 4am. I was feeding the rush. But now that I am at 60, on two jobs, I am starting to question if it was all worth it because ultimately the game isnt going anywhere. My friends arent going anywhere. And if we love to dote on the era long gone with old mmos, then we all must admit that many of our most memorable moments came when our friends made something happen while just hanging out in game. Not being rushed or pushed or anything.

				I can't fathom how someone got to 60 without doing a single dungeon. I mean did the OP literally do nothing but FATEs from 1 to 60?
