I... am a straight female and I never had a problem with uh "oversexualized" female (or male) characters in any game. I played Scarlet Blade even and thought it was cool (albeit very straightforward) especially the PVP (but the company that published it didn't handle it well).

THAT SAID, I also appreciate the diversity of armors and glamours that this game offers (although some may be pricy because crafted). The NPCs also wear armor that mostly make sense, except maybe Minfilia and her bare tummy that can be easily slashed and that skirt with bare behind over pants. What.

Edit: I love Hilda and Lucia ^^

When I see the first gaping wounds appear on my character, or witness her skin color change to a shade of blue in the cold, I promise to be more concerned about how practical her attire is. Until then my immersion is unaffected by my clothing. Other people's immersion couldn't be less important to me because it's not my job to please their eye with my clothing. If someone actually gets annoyed by an individual character's revealing clothing in a video game, I can only imagine the meltdown when they see people on the streets in the summer. Especially so if a male and a female walking side by side are wearing something different.

Just so I know? It is quite amusing that you think your opinion is so important that I simply need to know about it. The funniest part is that you said it immediately after I spoke of how rude it is to give unwarranted criticism about someone's appearance. Every outfit put in this game is meant to be worn so it is objectively appropriate to wear any kind of glamour. I'm not going to shed any tears if I ruin someone's realism-roleplay in a fantasy game.

Oh and one more thing. Can someone tell me where I can get a plate/mail battle bikini? It would be a nice addition to my glamour list.

Just made a fieldtest and dropped a bikini and my larp fullplate off a bridge. The Bikini is undamaged the full plate needs some serious repairs.

That's great, but we're not talking about your character. Or anyone's for that matter. We're talking about the clothing of the NPC's. Even Minfilia gets her moment of practicality during the MSQ taking place in colder climates.

I love how this game handles clothing. NPCs have variety. Players have choice. It rocks.

Did you not read the past 10 pages where some people were mocking other players' outfits for being unrealistic and even called it "tacky"? Not to mention the countless posts about glamour options and the morality (lol) of said glamour options. If those people can post about player characters then so can I. You can find my opinion about NPC clothing above Mahri's post which I quoted.

That reminds me of a childhood friend of me, doing a fake argument that baseball caps are better protection than bike helmets. "Drop them both off a 10-storey building, watch the results. The helmet is broken, the cap is still alive and kicking. Therefore, the cap is obviously the better option."

This discussion almost immediately went into what we as players dress our WoL as.

We don't give a s* about npc seriously... they could be dressed like the stephen king's clown they wouldn't be less credible as they already are.
The story is interesting for childrens, the npc personnalities are created for childrens, the prudishness of the costumes is here for the same reason.
