    Losing a roll to others isnt the worst, but to never see the desired token is...
    Yes RNG is working as intended (really?) but still i wonder why so oftn the SAME one is in BOTH chests?
    Shaft is a myth but you are only getting it in in A4... funny to see twice crank or twice spring! really, you see me smiling?

    It really is luck here. I ran floor 1 and 4 in a farm group and got it within 4 runs. I spent 30 times in DF for floor 3 and about 10 times in DF for floor 2 before getting the drop I wanted. I was picky and wanted specific things instead of rolling on everything. Sometimes I saw 2 of the item I wanted drop and rolled poorly. Sometimes I didn't see my item drop at all. Overall, from what I've heard, the probability of you getting your item on a single floor is about 5% better than Coil or CT in 2.0.

    I have no trouble with having to run things multiple times to get something...
    A1-A3 is even quite reasonable to farm in DF.
    The only problem is A4... The chance of getting a party that is capable of clearing A4 in duty finder is low. Making party finder the only reasonable way of farming A4.

    1 piece of loot, sure. But now you don't need 1 drop, you need multiple pieces of loot just to get one item.

It can be horrible if you DF it as you need to win the roll vs. 8 people every time just to get one part of the armor. Since this is more akin to CT level content, it's probably better to balance the drop rate around someone running DF.

    Heh. Atleast if you got an item you got the equipment. For Alexander you need to run it a minimum of 4 times a week, and a maximum of perhaps 30-40~ times per week. And do that 4 weeks so you get all 4 items you need for the equipment..

    Meh, Ill just wait and see what red scripts bring. I dont play the game to farm RNG in dungeons.

    Having just done so myself, I'd like to point out that nothing feels quite so sour as having to settle for a piece of crap token that you didn't want closing out the end of the week, just because nothing good would drop.

    Technically, all tokens are good. The problem is tied to distribution and drops per run.

    As it stands, we had people going after anything/everything or reddit's "optimal" path. If everyone was lotting on everything then you had a 1 in 4 (25%) chance of getting a drop per run. If everyone was lotting and you were going after the optimal path piece then you has a 1 in 12 (~8.33%) chance of getting the drop you wanted per run.

    The best way that I think they could fix this is to increase the number of drops per run from 2 to 4 this would make it so that the chances shift to 1 in 2 (50%) and 1 in 6 (~16.66%).

    I still don't get what was so bad about the old Garuda/Titan/Ifrit EX get a token and trade it in thing. Could they not do that with this? Every week, clear all 4 and trade your token in for loot? I swear they do this because there's not a whole heck of a lot to do right now minus leveling other jobs.

    I'm all for a little RNG, but when you could theoretically run this 20 times and not get a single piece of loot due to bad RNG on the roller....ya....

    They really had it right for awhile with the EX Primals, Tomes and Coil 1-5. You could gear from 3 separate areas, all equivalent minus what dropped from Twin which was your e-peen piece. If you only did Tomes, you'd get gear like everyone else, at a hell of a slow pace. If you did ALL events, you geared fast, that was the perk. For some reason though, they strayed from this and now it's all raid, raid, raid for top gear across the board. I agree raiding should earn you some great stuff, but not EVERY SINGLE SLOT.

    I think three runs of each floor on average to get whatever you need would have been a fair number. Assuming the player plays every day, that's around 2 attempts a day, gives them a reason to log in, but doesn't punish them for not having all the time in the world, and presents a reasonable light at the end of the tunnel that doesn't lead to content being so overplayed to the point of being a chore (except for A4 with bad parties, but that's always going to be the case).

    In another week we will start farming Esoterics tomes which will either be same ilvl or better so it won't even matter.
