Can we hover low on the ground and get increased mount speed that way? I understand that it would require an insane amount of work to allow us to actually fly in the old areas, but I think being able to hover low on the ground would be ok, wouldn't? It would make it less of a pain for us used to the fast flying speed of mounts in the HW areas.

the Mounts in HW Areas are that fast because the Areas are that much bigger than old Areas, i see no reason to increase Speed in the smal 2.0 Areas.

This may be true.... But I feel like a snail every time I have to go at crappy normal mount speed in old areas. Even just a small increase would be appreciated.

I would like this as well. It seems SE wants us to go faster by means of teleport but NOT ground mounts!? make us run 300% faster!

I suggested something similar to this yesterday and basically got shot down by everyone on the forums. If we cant hover atleast give us faster ground mount speed on Ground Mounts only in 2.0 areas through a quest after we've collected all the aether currents. Or something like that...

Make finishing the 2.0 sightseeing log a requirement for it

but I want to use my old goobue somewhere without feeling like I am gimping myself hell I even hope in further expansions they have a couple smaller non flying zones so we dont have to cut ground mounts out of the equation from new mounts as a wasted slot/design.

I would support speeding them up if it was necessary but I don't feel its needed in the old zones that are much smaller.

Did they say in the Live Letter that they definitely wouldn't be adding flying to the old zones? Because short of them confirming it's not going to happen, there's no reason to simply assume it won't. Many of the zones are large enough to accomodate flight.

They said if we really want it, they will add it but there won't be anything to do with it in old zones.
