The person you quoted was responding to a comment about Alexander Savage. You cannot farm the savage mode. You clear it once and everyone gets a token just for clearing it in addition to the two random loot drops as we used to get in Coil. It still has the weekly lockout as Coil had.Yeah I missed the Savage, my fault. The thread is about normal Alex and the person he responded to was talking about normal Alex too, so I assumed we were all on the same page.I don't think you understand. Savage has the old coil loot rules. The only difference is that it added a token drop that everyone is guaranteed when you clear. Once you've cleared for the week, that's it. No more chests for you unless you help out a party of 4 or more non clearers. And even then that only lets one chest drop for them
I was too slow it seems
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.

Even if you do, if you already have your weekly clear you don't even see the loot drop.I don't think you understand. Savage has the old coil loot rules. The point is this is suppose to be semi casual content crystal tower-esqe. Not rng Grind that raidists measure their electronic ego by. I will say in probably 4 weeks it won't be that big a deal some people will be better geared and they will carry some of the fail you see in groups making everything 1 shot in probably under 15 mins.
I've only been playing since like the end of may of this year. It can be a pain to find a good group, but it is possible. PF generally works pretty well, sometimes you have to make your own. I've found farm groups for Bisex, Ravex, A3, and A4 where we did at least 4 clears each time.
I make sure to friend these players afterwards - make connections, and it gets easier, you can ask people on your list if they're free.
I'm mostly taking the sad-but-true cheap shot at the overly-entitled attitudes of most PFers on Gilgamesh (you know it's true). For reference, I've been here since about a month after launch.I've only been playing since like the end of may of this year. It can be a pain to find a good group, but it is possible. We are, however, on the same server, so I will keep a lookout for you in PF.

Still better than coil, where you could join farm groups, "call" an item for yourself and still never get it. Ever. Because RNG. After it was unlocked, of course. I still remember those gloves I never saw in first coil. The chest that never dropped in second coil. Luckily my static saw all healer gear drop in final coil. I'm looking forward to never seeing something drop in Alex Savage - but at least I'll get tokens so in the long run it wont matter.

The only thing is. Its not a 1-1 thing. You need 4 tokens for the chest plate, when in the old coil for example, if the chest plate dropped you "had" it.
If it was 1-1, I would understand and love this system. However since you need multiple tokens, multiple tokens NEED to drop.

Coils also had a raid lockout. You will only ever get one chance to see anything drop in that week. But Alexander Normal doesn't, which gives you a lot more of those chances. The only thing is. Its not a 1-1 thing. You need 4 tokens for the chest plate, when in the old coil for example, if the chest plate dropped you "had" it.

So in old coil, if the chest plate didn't drop, it's good-bye until next week.
Doing Coils basically has a hard-limit on number of chances you get to see something drop, before the next set of Turns were released. Doing AlexN technically multiplies that hard-limit by tens if not hundreds of times, because you can repeat it within the same week until the token you want drops.
AlexN is less random, so to speak, due to the larger sample size you can take.
It's sad that 'considerably higher' is still 'pretty much crap'.Compared to Coil where you could run 100 turns and potentially never see anything drop that your job can use, the loot system in Alexander is MUCH better.
Most of the moaning over the new loot system simply stems from the fact that people are seeing their failed rolls and getting disheartened by it. Every time you ran Coil you were rolling against the server to see if something you could use would drop, it was just hidden and thus players didn't moan about it. Your odds of acquiring loot in Alexander are considerably higher than they were in coil.
Putting in dozens of hours farming the same dungeon every week is not exactly my idea of fun. At least the roulettes help inject some variety. This? This is just... yeah, no. No, thanks.
I'm glad I never wasted my time getting into Coil seriously, and if Alexander is a major improvement on that then I can only say that... well, they could do better. They could do a lot better.
Personally, I'd be thanking SE for allowing you to keep running it until you DO get your loot.
Except for three pesky things:The only thing is. Its not a 1-1 thing. You need 4 tokens for the chest plate, when in the old coil for example, if the chest plate dropped you "had" it.

-1 chance per week.
-tiny drop rate on the thing you want due to gigantic loot lists.
-50/50 chance of wininng even if it DOES drop, especially if you're Healer.
Compared to ...
-1 Token per Floor per Week.
-Guaranteed drop rate for what you want.
-No content lockout. Just keep smashing your face against it and you will get it eventually (Or heaven forbid being social and forming a party of friends)
So uhh, It's looking mighty in favor of the Alex system thus far.
