Actually, I'm gonna elaborate more on my last post. But first, understand that this post is out of frustration with SE cause i know they can do better. So you got me thinking: What more do I get from FF than from ESO at this point? Im playing both, so just putting a stop to the idiots that will say, "then leave and don't play". I want this game to be great, so...

    FF:
Must pay a sub (11.99 lowest i think?) in order to just play the game
Sub gives you access to servers
Frequent patches and updates, news, etc

    ESO:
    No sub(optional sub of 15.00)
access to servers with or without sub
Frequent patches, updates, news, etc. with or without Sub

Now I'm not gonna talk about gameplay and such, I play both and they are both good games. The graphics are more detailed in ESO that FF; gameplay for both is solid(except the BRD thing SE!!!!!!!). And the story is good for both, with ESO, to me, beating out SE due to voice acting. So how is not having a sub a bad thing for an mmo when they offer the same things as a "must have sub to play" game? And I ask people before they go off on my response, if they even played ESO? I play on PS4 so I don't know how PC is but ESO is like Skyrim on crack.

I played ESO when it had a sub, and I quit playing it about a month later. That should explain just how much I personally liked that game.

I've always been an Elder Scrolls fan, but that game just couldn't captivate me. All the lore in the world, all the story, couldn't keep me in. I just didn't have fun playing it, and I'm not quite sure you can quantify that! You can see it looks better graphically, but it doesn't look better artistically nor aesthetically.

I can't argue how FFXIV is better than ESO, because frankly maybe it isn't, but I really couldn't care less.

I like this game. I have fun playing it, and I wouldn't go back to ESO even now that it's gone F2P. Not when I have a more appealing option.

First of all, Im not telling you to go back to ESO. its not a game for you. This was really in response to Odie. But let me elaborate. He said because ESO dropped sub, that it was doing poorly. I disagree. I think you can have a successful game/mmo without a sub and that in doing that, you show you can succeed. Now I don't know why you didn't like ESO, you didn't list the reasons. What I listed is a fair question. What do I get for a sub in FF that I don't get from not having a sub in ESO?

They both have a story, they both have updates and patches and such. I just want your opinion based on the fact that you have played both, what justifies FF having a sub moreso than ESO not having one?

Oh, and with a sub in ESO, which I just found out today, expansions are included.
