I am having no issues with my PS4 but I think now the PS3 could be on the verge of being too much too handle. I sometimes have loading issues in Northern Thanalan doing FATES with all those people, so PS3 has to be struggling something awe up there. Other than that my ps4 runs the game beautifully. I m so happy with it.

This is a cross platform game, therefore its doing as well as it is, because thats what you get. As far as "experiences" go, combat mechanics aren't weighed on processing power or any other crap. crafting isnt limited by graphical power. gathering isnt restricted by memory. oh no your hair isnt as wavey as you wish, hardly an experience in itself

Some people like to appear a bit different than other players, when you have met 20 people that look exactly like your character you tend to feel a little less unique, as far as character model customization goes FFXIV fails at this :/, there are so many things they could do to remedy this but sadly there are soooo many process limitations. This is a cross platform game, therefore its doing as well as it is, because thats what you get. For all those who bash on the PS4's supposed "performance problems"... would you be hating just as much if it were a Sony Vaio with the exact same specs? Or would you blithely ignore it because "GLORIOUS PC MASTER RACE"?
Just sayin'.

PS4's can run just as good as some PC's, if not better. However I have to agree with PS3's holding back the game to some extent. My load times on PS3 were absolutely awful and that was with ARR. Of course I'm not saying cut off PS3 players, just it's obvious that sometime, as the game progresses, it's just not going to be able to handle it anymore.

Except the PS4 runs FFXIV smoother than the average PC from the average gamer...so you can hardly blame PS4 for holding anything back, maybe in 10 years, definitely not now.Won't matter if consoles can't handle the processing, cuts have to be made somewhere to make up for the obvious difference in hardware, which honestly was a bad choice on SE's part, making them cross play I mean, then we could have had nothing holding PC back, or at least only make it cross play with PS4, but even then the PS4 has limitation....its kinda depressing really :/
PS3 sure does, but SE already mentioned they will drop PS3 support sooner or later, we just don't know when it's going to happen.
I'd like to point out that literally not a single person in this thread has bashed the ps4...at all.
Edit: so much for that I guess

The bigger question is....
Is Au Ra holding the game back?
