Not a problem in Japan

I count 26 active accounts there.
I wonder.
1) They don't ban RMT the second they start saying stuff. It's amazing you people don't notice that they ban RMT in huge chunks every week or two. Instant gratification generation I suppose.
2) You have an ignore feature. Use it. Until if an RMT account is paid for and is legal (not a stolen account), and that account has not actually participated in RMT, there's really no reason to ban them.

We don't really have any issues on Masamune, do we? Have you logged onto a NA server where you get 3 tells per minute, always a different name? Or worse?1) They don't ban RMT the second they start saying stuff. It's amazing you people don't notice that they ban RMT in huge chunks every week or two. Instant gratification generation I suppose.

I don't understand your stance on this.

No.1 is part of the problem. With WoW when an account gets enough reports it's automatically silenced and then sent to review. No weeks of waiting, and bots are even less time. RMT bots stopped using the tell function in that game because it was too quick. In ff14 they don't have to worry. In this situation people should damn well be wanting "instant gratification". They're PAYING FOR IT.
No.2 It's not OUR JOB to police the game. I pay SE money every month for them to take care of these issues, and they're just not. Oh sure they "ban thousands of accounts" every month or so but it clearly does nothing and they don't seem to be doing anything to actually address the cause of all this, just the very least amount to make people supposedly feel better.
People have a right to be upset and they should be. SE is doing a terrible job at this and deserve every bit of flack. It sucks but oh well, maybe if it keeps getting worse they'll actually bother to fix it.
Yeah, I have a character on Balmung. Your example is hyperbole in the extreme. The ignore function works well and SE bans thousands of RMT accounts every couple weeks.
Technically, so are the RMT. If the accounts aren't stolen. That's why it takes time to investigate.

Only Balmung? Take note of the servers people are complaining from on the forums. Make a quick alt there and get a feel at different hours of the day. I did, and have seen the worst of it just to see for myself if these people were exaggerating. They weren't. If you feel you don't have the time to do so, your stance would be rather moot...

Balmung is almost never open for Character Creation. There's no RMT there because they can't keep creating new characters to get around the "well working" blacklist. It doesn't work, at all, and needs to be fixed.
Which is why they should not be banned right away but instead silenced. At least lock tells if they get reported enough, IMMEDIATELY, not two weeks later. They need to be proactive in combating RMT and they're far from it, which is why the day after these huge bans, nothing has changed.
I'd give a right gonad for a right click report feature like other games have.
