The Hinterlands could kind of use an Aetheryte

If you put one in the Hinterlands, it wouldn't make sense with the story line and it would be out of place in that zone... There is a reason why there isn't one on purpose. This is not SE's way of making life difficult for us.

Sorry can't edit on mobile. The leve issue is moot imo since it only takes 8 to level. If you do bot and min together, that's a grand total of 8 trips since you're only there for 2 levels.

Only if I have the option to watch a silly and overly complicated cutscene where I'm loaded in and the canon appears to not fire the first time before going nuts, spinning out of control and launching me off after the Goblin operator has made a comment about being perfectly locked onto a requested area.

I mean you can fly in the Hinterlands, so no big deal. But Goblin tech is at it's best when it's wacky as possible.

......what? Black Brush Station has an aethryte, as does various other small, non-sanctuary places throughout the game. Putting an aethryte anywhere in the zone wouldn't break lore. Period.

The illuminati(or time ) broke the aetheryte. We need to fix it with quests, not plop it down and pretend it never broke.

So it gives us a chance to see how they are made/brought in or something? I've honestly been wondering about that, another reason I want to see the retaking of the city-state ruins from the Illuminati...

Black Brush Station is a thriving camp, just like Drybone. In the Hinterlands, the city was eventually evacuated in response to the Garlean invasion of Eorzea, and has since been occupied by goblins and other mobs. Other aetherytes in that zone are broken and non functional. If one is placed there, explain to me why one aetheryte survived while the others didn't? Strange phenomenon? Ok, sure. It's Eorzea, anything can happen.

All I'm saying is that it just doesn't fit with the way the lore was presented to us. Keeping with continuity, to me, is fundamental to a story.

I do like the idea of doing a quest where we fix one already there. That would make sense.

Like everyone said: Idylshire. Aside from that Alexander and the illuminati are also out there. In comparison it also looks like it is the smallest of the new zones. Once you get flight access there's only so many places you would be going to there for hunts. If anything I'm more amazed Idylshire is a separate zone. Maybe its to streamline the face lift over the expansions updates between the raid and town. Although I wouldn't mind a shard or two in the town to get to the opposite ends faster. Assuming it's meant to grow in size as well.
