Regardless, 6 seconds then is short enough that I dont notice it. But 15 seconds is a big deal. Also, what class you played @ 50 in 2.0 means little now. Besides you are in a thread discussing how level 52-60 BARDS play and your not even a level 52-60 bard. This thread didnt say anything about BLM. If you are unhappy with BLM then start a thread and gripe about BLM in there.

Or just being to use procs while casting. I mean is there really a point to having them consume a GCD? Look at bloodletter. Make a new skill (like shield swipe is) that only activates on proc if you have to.I don't know about MCH procs, but no BLM waits around to see if Firestarter decides to show up. You go directly into your next Fire and hit Firestarter after. It's not ideal of course, because you can potentially waste a proc by doubling up, but we don't live in an ideal worldA reasonable fix would be to have these kinds of procs off gcd (and usable mid-cast), or have a system whereby you can "store" them kind of like wrath on WAR, but maybe only 2 at a time. In the meantime. just spam that split shot and proc whenever you can.
On-topic: I like caster BRD, it's a bit more old school FF. But that's just me
I mean. I have opinions, everyone does. Everyone is allowed their opinions too.
But all these threads are exactly the same. I keep coming in hoping for a different argument (on BOTH sides...I do consider both sides even though I'm fine with WM)
but.............there hasn't been anything new since day one so. I'm done..

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME
While I will rescind that I was wrong about the removal of cleric stance (ie the six seconds, which isnt all that noticeable) we are discussing BARD not BLM and healer. 15 second recast time to be able turn off WM/GB is quite a while. It;s more than twice the six seconds to turn off clerics....
But I have to ask, why are you in here griping about BLMs. This thread was discussing the changes to bard, not BLM....
As long as Bard and Machinist has WM/GB, I'm not going to play them.. A bit misleading that you play with certain style for the first ~50 levels and then *puff*, they have cast times on them.
It might be more fun if the "rotation" wouldn't be so RNG based; 50% this, 50% that.. but not in it's current state. Guess adding GB was just last nail in the coffin for me.
It has been a long and arduous journey, and we have lost much and more along the way.
Gonna leave this here for you:
Cleric Stance: Level 6. Cast Time = Instant, Recast time = 6 seconds.
Swaps current INT and MND attribute ratings, while increasing potency of attack magic by 10% and reducing potency of healing magic by 20%. Effect ends upon reuse. Cannot be used in PvP areas.
Wanderer's Minuet: Level 52. Cast Time = Instant, Recast time = 15 seconds.
Increases damage dealt by 30% while ceasing auto-attack and adding cast time to all archer and bard weaponskills.
Can be used with other songs. Effect ends upon reuse.
Cleric Stance at level 6 (beginning of the game) = Healing potency reduced, attack potency increased. No other effect to the job in question.
Wander's Minuet level 52 (Heavensward, post 50, ass load of endgamers) = 30% Increase to all damage; effects on the job, no auto attacks and added cast bar to a job that once had none.
You're a 50 bard, you have no clue what they're going through; the fact it was your first class to 50 is irrelevant. My first class to 50 was bard too, then I leveled summoner, and warrior, and blackmage, and ninja, and dragoon, and whitemage, and all my crafters / gathers to 50 back in 2.0 as well. I'm not expert cause I got those jobs to 50, I was just bored.
Logical fallacy = logical fallacy.

I'm guilty of this. I've killed tanks before because of these 6 seconds
(Facebook may have something to do with it, though)
Well, I for one am happy that there's a lot of discussion going on, because it got the devs attention to the matter. But this last change made me believe even more that WM is here for good and we will have to deal with it.
