I hate guys that play female characters to just screw over other males, give the people like me who just enjoy playing female characters a bad name.
Haha...whose asking for sympathy? Not me cause I don't care. As I stated in my first post here; I play the character I do for personal reasons in tribute to someone who played XI for more than 6 years and died last year. She would have loved XIV. And that's all I have to say about that.
What would you do if you found out the she character was being played by a he who in RL wants to be a she and plays a she character based off of Jynx's well written "speech" as you called it and fell into catagory A? O.oA guy using a female character, and vice versa, is still strange and creepy to me :-/
Even when you try putting logic to it, with your Party A, B speech.
I just can't help but shudder every time a "female character" finally reveals that "she's" a "he", after weeks of thinking otherwise >.<
And no....it's not me LOL Friend of mine and former epic Rng in XI since launch.
Hah, you do kind of resemble your character.Everyone knows furries and cat fetishists play miqote/mithra (any other race with animalistic features)
Like, I'm totally an elezen (no lie):

Being black, I found it surprisingly difficult to get actual "African" elements into the look of my character... most of the features are subtly European and such -- it was kind of disheartening, I really wanted my character to look as much like me as possible.
Well for me playing a female character indeed is creepy. Nothing against for those the play then its just that I don't see myself playing with dolls ..lol
I agree. I made one once and couldn't bring myself to play it, despite how cool she looked. I like my characters to resemble me -- for me, that kind of brings home the role-play element. I'm not down on myself (not saying anyone who role-plays distinctly different looking characters is), and if I'm going to imagine myself as a character, I want that character to be like a more badass version of me -- which really doesn't require I look any different.
Even my DnD character's tend to be "black" or tribal -- except for my Eladrin, who, due to the nature of the race, can't really look anything like me, haha... Then there's my changling, but he's based on Son Wukong.
The two subsects can't obviously cover everyone in the world. There are obviously a few people out there who feel they are "Trapped" as the wrong gender and playing as the oposite gender is the perfect way for them to express themselves.
Although the chances of these type of people revealing that fact to someone who they don't know well enough for that to be a normal conversation topic would be fairly rare I'd say. I'm sure there are a few "manthras" who are gender confused in that sense. Thats a whole different beast alltogether and then it turns into what you feel is morally correct.
Personally all the power to them. MMO's are an escape from reality, let them live on the game how they want to live.
Who and why the hell was this bumped?
I cast my vote, nothings cooler than rolling a historic or mythos based character or icon. =DThen there's my changling, but he's based on Son Wukong.
edit-- lol bumped again
