actually, most games are increasingly getting more complex to play no? i can barely play fighters any more ...but i just don't play it or ones i do buy i play and don't cry bout losing. vid games started with like 2 buttons and now we have way more, an keyboards with just a ton. so no it's kinda the opposite no?

game play in mmo's are getting easier so they can keep "trying" to pull everyones money ...in reality i don't think this is gonna keep panning out the same either way. and while gaming industry prices on everything will just keep going up and up, mmo's were made to last before lmao, not any of this planned obsolescence we got going on now.

also u can enjoy u'r solo'ing all u want dude? i'll be there giving my speech in groups of players, (i think i hit all 50's in all 8man groups,)and we will also see what the future of this game intels ...cause it will all go party play in many forms or it will shut down within a year just like every mmo that is being made to pocket fools money like yours. how many mmo's u think u'r gonna solo threw within the next 5years? i bet it will be alot of them compaired to the 1 mmo (ffxi) that most of us played for that long.

and talk to me when u hit rank 12 on any of u'r classes, it takes one set of leves to do so, ...solo, ...so i dunno what u doing complaining about how a game is, apparently u need to pay for a game that gives u max rank right from logging in.

Except the parts where he said it had to do with time vs skill vs difficulty. As in those who "put in their time" should require less skill and difficulty to achieve endgame accomplishments than those who don't.

Just because someone mentions the words time, you automatically assume they are linking it to skill and difficulty. Nope. It's like playing a gamer of Team Snipers... And people are choosing only to melee to get kills. And then complain about why they can't kill anyone. They can use a Sniper too, but they choose not to "for added difficulty" or whatever reason they might have (games broken, lazy). Nowhere in his original post did he mention time vs difficulty vs skill, but instantly people trolled him because thats what they thought he was talking about. I agree w/ the OP and thats why I stood in because wtf, people want the bow but don't have archer up? lololol. So many things that I just choose not to bring up because the list never ends because someone who is lazy and single minded, can come up w/ unlimited excuses in order to QQ on the forums. Oh this fights too long, this fights too short, my playstle is diff from the game but im going to keep playing, this requires ZERO skill, this requires FULL skill, then proceed to not post any examples of their definition of skill because they are, like i said, single minded and lazy and post for the attention, not what the OP's post was originally about.

I couldn't care less if the game changes or not, ANYTHING, even facebook, still could use improving. I could use improving, and you certainly could use tons of it. Whether the game needs improving or not. The content out atm, isn't broken, seeing as how I cleared it 48 hours after its release. I did something right. Call it luck. But I call it skill. inb4massiverage/lecture on skill when the person isn't skilled at anything but trolling.

So i read the forums often, seeing all these people QQ about the game. It really bugs me to see people say the game is too hard, or say only certain jobs can do what ever they cant do. Back in FFXI pretty much everything in that game took months if not years before ppl figured out the easy way of doing things.

Doing COP missions was the worst, but you know what, when i did get it done i felt really good . Knowing that i did work and got it done was great. It was a few years before they dumbd down COP missions and now its a cake walk.

FFXIV is still in my book Beta, and i really don't think the game should be made easy for everyone, yea so what if your a casual player, maybe you only have 1 job to 50, boohoo, i dont think you should be able to complete the 45 raid, put some more time in the game before you start to wine you cant do it.

People with 1/8th of a character leveled shouldn't whine about not clearing content that someone with 8/8ths of a character leveled can.

I was kinda annoyed that i saw someone post they are upset they cant to the speed run, and there upset that its best for ARC's to use for DD. maybe they forgot or over lookd that you only get a BOW and SWORD for the ARC's and the tank that will be there doing the speed run. Shouldent he be wanting to do normal runs...? I mean if he wants a the BOW , lvl up ARC and go on that job lolz..

Photographers, especially paparazzi, make money on the pictures they take. That's why they go to the lengths they do to get them. When you redistribute their pictures without permission and without paying for them, you're basically ruining someone's livelihood. And violating copyright law. You could be sued! (Probably not).

As for my sig, Layton was a public official in the government who wrote a letter addressed to the nation. As such, it can't be copyrighted because it's in the public domain. That means I can take his words and use them artistically as I see fit (which I did) and I don't have to acknowledge where I got them from because the words belong to everyone.

Plagiarism is passing off someone else's work as your own. But I never claimed those words were mine any more than someone with an "It's over 9000!" sig is claiming they invented the phrase.

Of all the wall-of-text you felt you had to type, this is really the only relevant part of the discussion I was bringing up.

I think you're wrong. This is like saying your character isn't complete until you've leveled all 20 jobs in FFXI to endgame. It's preposterous.

If you level one war or mage class to 50, you ought to expect to be able to participate in endgame with relevant rewards. The Armory System is optional, not a requirement. Getting rank 50 means you've put in your time.

Getting the "oh, you should have leveled these other classes instead" treatment when you get to endgame with no warning is not a sign that someone lacked real skill. It's fake difficulty. It's not the reward you'd expect to get when you've run the marathon and are ready to cross the finish line only to be told you ran the wrong race.

LOL Use to own that system and an Intellivision system. Bet you haven't even heard of one of those before! Was the best looking graphics game console around until Atari came out. And the only reason Atari did well was because the Intellivision was so freakin' expensive. Ahhhh...nostalgia.....
