It is. Also, LA has a Quelling Strikes effect and does not shed any enmity already generated, which makes it much less useful.

SS = 180s

LA also does have an enmity dump.

Shroud of Saints is 120s, I'm afraid. For the enmity dump... well, it's not a dump: technically it reduces enmity generated. It's not a complete wash but if you're a few minutes into a fight....

SS = 180s

LA also does have an enmity dump.

LA does not have an enmity dump; it only reduces any further enmity generated after it's use.

SS dumps enmity by cutting it in half.

SS is also 120s, not 180s.

LA = SS; except for the enmity portion, SS is better if you already have agro, LA is better if you're trying to reduce the enmity you create.

The only thing LA has over SS is that you get it at an earlier level (lv 8 vs 38), which is a very moot point, since you should never really run out of MP until the later game/raids anyways.

The first job I leveled to 60 was AST. Then SCH. Finished WHM last night. The new abilities that SCH and WHM get are amazing (on top of their already awesome spells) and make AST's look even worse than I already believed them to be.

I might use AST every once in awhile for some basic dungeons, but unless they revamp it significantly, it will never see the light of day in regard to Alexander.

Wrong enhanced shroud of saints increases the potency of the regen from 60 to 80 the EXACT same as enhanced LA
