That's roughly what I think they did or at least capable of doing. The Amdapori were specifically mentioned to have magic that "can alter the very fabric of existence" and not really talking about providing succor as the current WHM are doing.

technically time magic is blue magic not white magic so if they had the power to screw with time and space then they at least had a few blue mages in there ranks.

Red and White mages don't exist in Eorzea remember. (Yoshida has actually said they won't be implemented due to the cross skill system making them pointless)

And I thought Blue Mages were beast mimics that copied enemy attacks?

white mages are in the game and if i rem correctly blue mages while copying enemy attacks were also the only ones that could use space/time magics.

That's not what he said though. On the topic of Red Mage, he said he's like to put it in because he liked it, though it wouldn't be like most past Red Mages because of the cross-class system. On the topic of Blue Mages, he said he'd like to add it, but wasn't sure how to implement it due to the way class and job skills work in FFXIV.

Ah, I misinterpreted the way he put that then. So it's not he doesn't want to or never will it's just he's not sure how to do it yet. My bad on that one. (That live letter was along time ago though)

Trust me, if I didn't have to have this conversation nearly once a week with one of my FCmates about deciding to headcanon in a job and actual call himself that job, I would have forgotten too.

Sorry, only now realized I put white instead of Blue. (I have a white mage I'm leveling after all)

And when it comes to time magic I think it depends alot on the game. I think that Time Magic even had it's own class in tactics. (Don't hold me to that) So no idea. It was forbidden in my head cannon though so it was a secret they wern't suppose to know, ergo no class because it's not allowed to screw with time. (Though if you want, we can pretend those surviving white mages were the 1st blue mages since It's basically fan fiction at the moment any way. lol)

Blue Magic is specifically monster magic and has nothing to do with time. If no Time Magic category is present, the spells are given to White and Black. Astrologians in FFXIV seem to have Time/Space magic covered.

I thought as much. I wonder if we'll see Geomancer and Spacial Magic in the future. Or would that be too close to CNJ/WHM in concept?
