I'm really getting the feeling that Lalas are just absolutely horrible people to each other.Yeup, which somewhat explains why most tonberries are so short, and why the two tonberries you meet in the SCHs two stories are both named in Lalafell fashion. Further, tonberrism is a disease wrought by a voidsent that was summoned by the "void mages" of Mhach. Not certain if the Tonnberries are Roegadyn or just odd tonberries, but it'd be nice to find out.
Actually the last of the Amdapori White Mages sealed Diablos as a last ditch effort to stop him. Those blobs and voidsent are all thats left of rge White Mages.
The Black Mages summoned Diablos to destroy Amdapor. And it worked.

So it has finaly being confirmed the source of the desease that wiped out the Nyms?

Yes.

A unique (so far) and invisible (until Lily hits it with her light) voidsent named Bitoso was given to the Nymian traders within an urn as a gift by lalafell of the South Seas who were either in league with or manipulated by the Mhachi. In the fight, he actually uses Nymian Plague, which will turn the Maelstrom soldiers trained as Nymian Royal Marines into tonberries themselves.

And what the the BLM 50 - 60 quests has to said about it. Is not kind of ironic that the Black Mages were the ones who won the war?

As much as they could have won, I suppose. I mean, they got flooded shortly afterward, so I'm not certain there was much winning by anyone.

Seems like the BLM Mhachi were the winners or were winning the war. Since it's specifically mentioned that the Elementals flooded the world due to WHM abusing their powers then perhaps the WHM had or were planning to do something REALLY bad in a last ditch effort to win?
As destructive as BLM is, the Mhachi's method of war was just dealing with Voidsent to do their bidding and they doesn't seem to drain the world of too much aether.
It's interesting we now know more about the Mhachi and Nym now than we do know about Amdapor's WHM
Could it be possible that the NPC legends are true? Some of the NPCs believe that the Amdaporie could manipulate and alter time with their magic. What if the White Mages intended to alter the time flow and turn the tables of the Machi? That would lead to unimaginable consequences to the natural order thus why the Elemental may have intervened. I think, assuming that idea is correct, that it was the surviving Amdaporians that escaped before Diablos was sealed and decided that the end justified the means when it came to altering time in their favor.

So then, after the leading white mages sacrificed them selves to seal Diablos in the now abandoned city of the damned, The remaining White Mages gathered inside Amdapor Keep to prepare the most forbidden of spells, Time Magic. Beneath the light of the blood moons the blood oaths were made and the rites chanted to throw time backwards to the start of the war so that they could destroy the Machi before they even had a chance to strike.
But knowing their plan, the Elemental's raged overflowed, thus Oha-Sok, the Elemental of Destruction, was formed. And in a final act of condemnation, Oha-Sok flooded all of Eorzea so that the Evils of the White Mages and their knowledge of the Magics of Time and Space would be purged. And the Sins of those that wronged them along with them. Thus the 6th Umbral era came to be.
