90% boss mechanics in a nut shell. Dodge stuff. Kill adds.

I've already forgotten some of the earlier dungeons in Heavensward due to having only done them once while leveling (the lvl 60 expert dungeons, however, are engraved in my skull).
This game might benefit from something like the Dungeon Journal in WoW where it explains the mechanics of a fight (not how to deal with them, just what they are). To keep it more in line with FF though our journals could only be filled after we've done the fight once, like the Warriors of Light chronicling their adventures. I know Yoshi-P likes us to be excited and surprised and wants everything to have a lore reasoning behind it. I can't say I blame him.
What is messing with me more than memorizing mechanics, though, is keeping up a rotation that feels complicated for the sake of being complicated WHILE dealing with hard bosses, movement and mechanics.

It's just called biting more than you can chew xd
(lvling fast to unlock and go through multiple mechanics in a short period of time would be confusing)

Honestly, if I were to be asked about half the mechanics for most dungeons, I'd have a hard time remembering them - until I can actually see the boss. Once I'm in the arena, recall becomes much easier and I can rattle things off pretty quickly.
B-But there are two 2's. Is the third one a secret like Fight Club? D:
Happened to me during a trail roulette a few days ago. We got the Ultros and Typhon fight and the only person who could remember the mechanic was busy shouting 'NOOBS' at the rest of us. Then he quit and the group disbanded.
It was one of those fights I only did once during the Manderville story and never saw again.
I have had few occasions like this such as I once forgot a single mechanic to an old boss fight that hadn't done in a very long time and another player turned around and said "what the f*** is wrong with you, were you born yesterday or something?", I replied by telling him don't be a douche and explained I had not done it in a very long time and simply forgot to which that shut him up but I have also had people who made an entire pre-made macro with ascii image that was an insult which contained the phrase f***ing noob at the bottom of the ascii image targeted at the macros highlighted player...the fact he made an ascii macro to insult people showed what sort of person he was and he used it just because I forgot one mechanic on one boss fight.Happened to me during a trail roulette a few days ago. Such times occur it is very annoying, especially since I am normally the one who is the one explaining mechanics to new players in most content I do but unfortunately I am only human and will forgot things due to having to remember so many skill names, boss mechanics and phases across so much content plus often doing older content to help new players instead of ignoring them and only doing the new content. Thankfully it doesn't happen often to me where the others in group are extremely rude when forget a mechanic and quite often other players are there to fill in the gaps when I am explaining what I remember about the boss strategies to newer players but yes I have had the sort of thing you describe happen to me in the past too.

Ya, I joined some friends in Sohm Al yesterday and couldn't even remember having done any of it. Pretty sure I ran it twice at least, but was like, why isn't ANY of this familiar. Maybe I should get my noggin checked out more then anything....
