At this point my primary concern is Omega's involvement in the story. It was confirmed months ago that Omega would be integral to the 3.x story but there was little mention of it during 3.0.

I'm wondering if we may actually end up trying to use it to fight Nidhogg since Omega was originally built to fight Bahamut.

Y'shtola and the WoL will probably find someway to circumvent the issue, making it much less a "Oh no, Y'shtola is gonna die!" and more of a "What subplot did we leave open that we'll go into in 3.whatever to help add a bit of resolvable tension?". Honestly I hope a lot of the class quest NPCs show up with something, I want to know how some of them are doing.

Plot armor and/or individual character's power levels and abilities. Nanamo wasn't actually poisoned, it was just a super powerful sleeping potion. Like.. Raubahn is a brave warrior gladiator who's probably received lots of wounds before, Hauchefant gets speared with a magic thing that was meant to kill you iirc, who is basically the most powerful mortal in the story, it makes a lot of sense for him to die from it. That and magic is kind of the "anti-plot armor" weapon.

I'm with you. I want some of them dead. Hell I'm pretty satisfied with the number of living Scions now. I enjoyed my time with Alphinaud, Ysayle and Estinien in Dravania, far more than running errands for supposedly grown up people.

As for the story: We are going to the moon.

Another speculation is about Estinien. I'm wondering if they're going to pull a Kain with him in upcoming patches. He was our buddy, now he's possessed by Nidhogg. I have a feeling he's going to ping pong between being our buddy and being Nidhogg's pawn (ie, our enemy). Since we got some FFIV glamour items and a Kain minion (I can't remember if they were for preordering or the CE) it seems like a bit of foreshadowing.

I think you might be surprised. Have to keep in mind the Nidhogg we fought was not of his own power, he was borrowing the power of one eye of Hraesvelgr. So we fought a Nidhogg with a Hraesvelgr eye.

That makes a huge difference because honestly it could of been the eye that quelled some of the rage within Nidhogg but now he has both eyes back.

Think about where those eyes have been. The Azure Dragoon using it as a tool to slay Nidhogg and Thordan using it as a means to empower himself/become like a Primal. There is so much angst and hatred in those eyes now, on top of it the eye which was in Thordan has the aether of Lahabrea in it which most likely only serves to empower the rage of Nidhogg.

The Nidhogg we fought, a mere puppy compared to what he's become now that he's regained his full power.

I mostly just want to know what happened to Minfilia. And get more story with Hilda. She's awesome.

I kinda feel the opposite. Since Nanamo's revival was already such a cop-out, having any of the Scions be actually dead because of it would just be stupid writing. Losing all three of our main HW companions was also stupid, though, so who knows?

This a billion times. It's even worse because while Alphinaud actively brings up the events of the Binding Coil, Cid and the Ironworks boys have actually just forgotten CT. They outright mention they've been doing something else for the entire time since the Praetorium. Moenbryda at least got name dropped, but G'raha really just sealed himself away inexplicably so the writers could keep playing up the mysteries of Allag like we don't already know the answers, or know anybody who knows the answers.

And all the answers we thought we had, and even the reason we had "no choice" but to seal G'raha in CT, are now fabulously contradicted by the arrival of Azys Lla. Which is apparently even more powerful and dangerous, and even loves making ironic nods to how big the Allagans are on honoring sacrifices and working towards a brighter future.

Yes, I'm still sore on that, and they keep making it worse instead of better.

Seeing that it was Lolorito's plan all along, it wouldn't surprise me the soldiers who attacked the Scions were told to take them captives instead of just killing them. I'd pressume, however, that some of them (Possibly Thancred because it's goddamn Thancred) escaped to a safe location, without knowing the truth.

Nidhogg is going to respark the war. Lolorito IMO still has something up his sleeve. And of course anything can happen with the Empire still about.

I doubt Lolorito plans to betray us once again. He may be a manipulative b****** but he is a reasonable manipulative b******* who knows his place and when he can not win.

Nidhogg and the Garleans on the other hand is another story.

Nidhogg and his unending rage towards Ishagrd most likely will not stop until he dies as Midgar has mentioned out of despair for his own son becoming a vengful monster due to being blinded by rage.

The Garleans are certainly a equal threat as well now that they have a new Flagship once again and even Lolorito is concerned about it.
