But it entirely possible it is an oversight. Just giving an argument for the way it currently functions.
The EXP value you get from a given challenge depends on the level you are. 1-50, it gives you 15% of the level you are. The problem is that from 51-60, it gives you 15% of 50, and doesn't continue going up. Obviously, I don't think ANYONE wants it to give 15% of 50 regardless of level, that'd be silly.

In fact, it is not 15% of lv. 50 xp, it is 15% of what used to be the needed xp to be lv. 51 before the lv cap was removed: when lv. 50, the game used to write our xp as 0/562 000 while now ones need 864 000 xp to be lv. 51.

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to get across. It could be my fault since I didn't go into much detail.

It gives 15% of the maximum experience at level 50. To make the math simple, we will say it is 100 experience to get from 49 to 50. That is 15 experience. Now let's say that it starts at 4 experience to get to 2, 6 experience to get to 3 and so on. That would be 2550 experience to get from 1 to 50. It would take 170 weekly challenges at 15 per weekly to get the total experience to get to 50. That number grows even higher when you calculate it out to 15% of the current level, not 15% of level 50. Now it is supposed to take the same amount of time to get from 50-60 so let's assume it is the same experience. It would be 2550 experience over 10 levels. That is 255 experience per level. 15% of 255 would be 38.25 experience. It would be 68 weekly challenge logs to get from 50-60. That is a huge difference.

Now I know the math is drastically different with the real numbers and that it probably doesn't add up properly. But it should not be 15% of a level from 51+ because that would be ridiculously high for their stated goal.

Up to level 50, challenge logs give a total of 110% a level worth of xp each week for battle classes. So that's one bonus level per week. How is that "ridiculously high" for their stated goal for 50-60 content?

It's the type of bonus that helps people who only play on weekends, and it isn't something that can be exploited by more hardcore players. If you ONLY used the challenge bonus to level, it would still take at least 6 or 7 weeks to go from 50-60. Considering that I have 11 more combat classes I want to level, and have no more quests in 3.0, getting ONE bonus level a week on my chosen class in addition to fate/dungeon/leve grinding isn't too much to ask.

I think you are putting too much weight into the "Level 1-50 is supposed to be the same as level 51-60" comment you made. Heavensward is big and awesome, but there isn't nearly enough to do to justify what you are suggesting. At level 30-35, there were tons of things for a character to do while leveling, but from 52-53 you are pretty much stuck in one zone grinding the same dozen fates, 3 levequests, and one dungeon until you can escape.
