How do you macro Chakra? I find that /wait 1.5 doesnt work, it seems the macro system only uses full seconds? Its basically the same as /wait 2 which means it takes significantly longer to get 5 stacks up.

Also, on the same note, do you use Fracture at all anymore? Or switch it for the Lancers Parry buff for dangerous moments?

dont know about the macro since i don't use them for monk, but regarding fracture - yes, absolutely. while doing your rotation normally, since demo duration was increased, there will be occasions where it lines up perfectly to use fracture. you will have 3-4 seconds left on demo, use fracture, and then demo, and everything feels smooth as butter.

You use TK when you are running to the wall in Ravana EX? lol doesn't make too much sense to me, just maintain gl3

I'd like to see you maintain GL3 through dives if you get a marker.

The new monk rotation is a little similar to the old dragon rotation, Treating Demo as the half points of each rotation. You need to either Fracture or ToD once inbetween the applying Demos or else you will end up either clipping your Demo or having it fall off.

So Opener (Demo is applied in opener) > ... ToD ... > Demo > ... Facture ... > Demo > ... ToD ... > Demo. This will stop you from Clipping Demo, but it will be a TP drain. The thing is though that if you do this, the fracture should be a decent Dps upgrade as it is a 220 potency attack, and it allows you to get the last 1-2 ticks out of a Demo.

For Ravana, there should be a lot of parts of the fight to use Tornado Kick.

1st Tornado Kick should during Prelude to Liberation Cast.

2nd Tornado Kick should be at the end of Add phase.

3rd Tornado Kick should be during the Sword Number Mechanic.

4th Tornado Kick should be double preys.

Shouldn't have TP issues in this fight so you should get a Forbidden Chakra off :

1st. During Prelude to Liberation cast.

2nd. Liberation Cast.

3rd. Warlord Shell/Add Phase.

4th. After Swords

5th. After Double Prey

I don't think anyone decided yet, but at the same time the opener is negligible in most fights anyway. You can start with Demo-(PB)-whatever: either a "normal" opener with an extra high potency hit during PB or all finishers with TK in the middle. Or a standard PB opener that we've always used.


I would be surprised if it's a 50 potency difference between all the openers...

The Opener i have been using seems to work quite well for me so far with a 1400+ burst at ilvl 175 + 190 hive claws
Form Shift - Couerl - (Shoulder tackle) - Demo - (PB) - Snap - (BFB) - Snap - (Drac str pot) - Twin - (IR) - DK - (Steel peak) - Snap - (Elixer/Howling) - Tod - (Forbidden chakra) - Boot - true - Fracture - Demo

Just did 1 full run at 3mins 58 secs till i ran dry on tp and pulled 1150 i messed up abit near end so maybe i can do more?! lol

I do 5/6 tk and 7 chakra when i run ravana ex. Minor difference but maybe your killing it faster or missing a chance.

I actually dont use tk duringg prelude and instead use it during liberation since my ir and b4b are up then.
