I'm attributing this to them being so new. Give it a month or two for more people to get their crafters and gatherers up and we should see a decline in the price. In the meantime I'm just putting away gil so I can afford it or the mats to make it myself one day.

The bustier is selling for 50 million on my server.. 3 people bought it already (2 of them being bought by the same person) and thats only for one piece.. All the other pieces are around 35-45 million each and they are actually selling aswell...

The problem is. The Mats are not easy at all to get. Unless I don't know something... There is 1 item (x3 I believe) that cannot be crafted, or gathered normally. It takes a random drop from a random acquired item and contend with 7 other people for it. This is likely why its so expensive. Were it something else to acquire it, the price and disappointment would be much lower.

You don't need a group of 8 to do those maps. I did them with 2 other people tonight. It was a little rough, but doable. Four people is utter faceroll. When I do maps with my friends, we all pass on each others' drops. *shrug*

To all those who want to jump on the wagon with people telling me that if I want one I should work for it, or those saying I want something for nothing, you don't know me at all, so why do you make such stupid assumptions about me. I have no problem working for something, but when you create something certain to be in high demand and gate it so thoroughly, you are effectively encouraging people who cannot afford it, or make it themself, to get the gil to buy one.

Personally, I'll either ignore the BS and wait so I can buy one when they are considered left overs by the elite, or I will try to level my crafters. However, considering the 100s of hours required to do that, and my schedule, if I am to get through the MSQ and keepup with primals, I will be in my 60s when I get there.Thanks so much for your fellow feeling, ampathy and concern, the lack of which has been noted. As usual, anytime someone expreses annoyance at something that benefits the top 1% disproportionately, they are attacked for wanting something for nothing. Whatever. The point stands, heavily gated vanity items like this discourage honest players and encourage RMT and gil buying.

That may be true but Ragnarok has many FC's that are well known bot farmers/gold buyers/sellers.

Some have even been completely banned but there is still too many and nothing is being done. So I have my doubts that anyone with money saved from that time would still have it considering all the giant gil sinkholes SE has put in since then.

I'm currently working towards getting all the materials myself for this and once I finally have it, I'll feel so much better about having it because I worked hard to obtain it. Maybe yous should all think this way!

Hmm? What's wrong with working for glamour? It benefits you because you can have a unique character with a design of your choice. I love that personally and I'm more than happy to work for a glamour set if I really like it.

Not everything in a MMORPG has to be about having the best stats. There's more to it than that.

So... SE makes something that's rare so not everyone and their mom can glamour it and this is what we get.
I just did some dragonskin maps with light party + chocobos, definitely some of them can be trio'd.
