When/Why were you vote kicked?

How did I deserve it? The DRK had full enmity, and I only tried to punt the enemy against the wall. But again, our DPS was fine. DRK was fine. I don't know what the problem with people and KB skills is.

Using knockback moves when tank has full aggro on the mob is considered harrassment, and in most cases it's usually true. You were asked not to do something, and you didn't even explain yourself. I'd have asked you to explain yourself, were I the tank, but in this case he had the right to votekick you.

KB moves are kind of a pain for everyone they knock enemies out of AoE's and out the range of the Tank's rotation. If you must use them then keep them for very narrow areas where the mob won't really move or leave it as something to use if a stray mob aggros on you and you don't want to run in the middle of a bunch of mobs to have the Tank pull it off you. A punt back to the Tank's position can be helpful at times.

When you use knockbacks, you drastically limit the ability of a tank to do 3/4 of their responsibility. That is harassment. The ONLY reason to use KB is if the tank fails to hold threat and you're in danger. Was in a group with 2 MCH last night who refused to not KB. Kept joking they wated to PUSH their dps. Morons dont realize, their one ability doesn't outweigh tank dps that is lost. Had to make them kick me. Don't tank for trolls.

I didn't really get votekicked, but it's pretty much the same so it fits right in:
Back when I was learning T13 with randoms (no static for me :x), I found a rare party in pf that was explicitly for people who were all new to the encounter, training from phase 1 (I had been further ahead already, but that didn't matter to me).
Shortly before we got full, 2 veterans joined because they wanted to help out some newbies like us. Okay, party full, we started the fight, I got one of the first earthshakers and protected myself with manawall because the healers couldn't be bothered to heal me, survived. Got the second earthshaker too, no more manawall, no heal, regen, shield or anything, died.
At some point the first phase ended and I had no ress. The second phase went by and I still didn't get raised despite asking for it several times in pt chat ._.
The party failed to kill the adds on time and we went out of the instance. The two "nice" veterans demanded party lead, then said they want the party to clear it in the next 40 minutes so they'll kick anyone who doesn't pull their weight. Subsequently I was kicked after being told that I dealt way too less dmg. When I explained that it's kind of hard to deal dmg while lying on the ground dead, the rest of the party procceeded to tell me that I just shouldn't have died in the first place and the great veterans are always right.
It wasn't a votekick, but since everyone 'voted' me worst DPS, it felt pretty much the same.

The only good thing about it was that after that, they tried to find replacements for a whole hour until they just gave up without having done anything

I was vote kicked once because while doing daily roulette low dungeon aurum vale, I did not let the seedlings hatch for the little bit of exp that would of given. I thought was bit harsh since no one asked permission or even mentioned they wanted a full clear exp run. Overall though I didn't care that much as I just popped myself back into DR and did another quicker and simpler low level dungeon with other people. In my opinion I did nothing wrong based on the fact no-one asked for a full clear exp run in AV and to be honest I thought it was more rude for them to just assume everyone there was okay to do such and not bother asking everyone if was okay with doing so. I think that's the only time I have actually been vote kicked in past year+.

I was first kicked at a Crystal Tower run (when it was a new place and there was only one loot a week limit, we all wore mostly items worse than the potential drops). I just find myself out of the dungeon after a boss, everything had been normal. I didn't know what had happened until I thought about vote kick. I looked and the other tank, and himself other several members (more than 50%) were from the same server and FC. Probably the other tank wanted the loot of next boss and saw I also needed it and asked his friends to kick me. I reported them.

Other time I had a 90000 or similar server error d/c and when I managed to log in back I had been kicked (normal, people can't be expected to wait many minutes, 5 min is the usual politeness I think.)

Also a very long time ago at WP when people were ilvl 60 or less, the big Tonberry caught us and I ran in opposite direction than the healer, who got aggro of the mobs and didn't stop running. I followed him but couldn't catch him nor get aggro back. I was called useless and kicked. Joined another party and finished a nice run very soon later.

I was also kicked once, with no previous apparent problems in a party where the other 3 were from the same server and FC. No explanations. I couldn't guess the motive (no wipes, no problems.)

I think there are people who tend to use vote kick too easily in Duty Finder. Being afk or disconnected for a long enough time clearly are reasons, or trolling on purpose like repeatedly doing early pulls on purpose in WoD to harass the group. I vote "No" in all vote kicks I don't find justified, even if the player is worse than the rest or makes a lot of mistakes.

Being not so good as the rest or making mistakes are no reason to kick in DF. Rolling need is of course no reason to kick, even if the item is worse than the one you have. You might want it for your retainer, for glamour or for getting GC seals. Edit: If somebody asks for a loot and I would just sell it at the GC I would pass and let them have it, of course. Anyway, rolling for something is not a cause for vote kick.

Other thing is a Party Finder group where the leader has the possibility to kick.

I have only been vote kicked once because I disconnected in the middle. That was back when I was a dps. Now I main healer and although I still got those 90002 errors often, never got kicked again.

Maybe dps has a higher chance to get kicked when dc than healer/tank? Just lol.

Abuse of kick is pretty common in every MMO. It is definitely worse when the majority of a party are friends or come from the same FC they tend to have a group mentality and gang up on people when things are not going well or somebody in their group wants a particular kind of loot. Had people make threats to me before that if I roll on something they will kick me. A lot of the time if somebody actually needs the gear as a decent upgrade and they ask me at the start of the run if they can have it I'll probably pass for them even if I wanted it for my retainer or a glamour but if somebody threatens me I'll do absolutely all I can to make their life miserable.

I recall this one WoD when I was in a group with some other FC and the Healers in the whole raid were pretty useless the whole run got to last boss I'm pretty much the only one who heals the MT on last boss in another party including that party's own healers and people screw up meteors and we wipe. In party chat they are all bitching at me claiming I'm not healing them and saying the BLM had to help heal. I threw up medica II and cure III post meteor but they didn't think gathering around the WHM was a good idea and instead stuck to various corners of the room. Earlier in the run the SCH had demanded all the healing gear or they would kick me and stop me getting my weekly kill. None had dropped so far.

So we start over I'm getting a ton of abuse in party. I refuse to heal any of them until they apologise. First AoE Bard in my part gets it and tries to draw it into me to kill me but I move and he dies and I say how much a waste of time that was. We finished this time I help with meteors and healing MT again. Healer item drops and I don't roll just let the timer run while they abuse me and the group leaves so it's just me and the SCH while I run in circles as the timer ticks. At 5 seconds I roll need and get the drop. SCH abuses me some more and says they will report me for trolling and ninja looting. I wished them luck with that and went on my way.

if ever it was probably because i zoned into a dungeon that took forever to replenish it's ranks and i started playing ps4 and forgot about it

it is very unusual for me to have problems in a party

Just got vote kicked from ak after the healer(who was with me) and I 2 manned the first boss of ak in high level roulette. Too bad for them waiting on a healer lol
